Randeep had boarded the train and settled into his seat with a book in hand. He was looking forward to a quiet journey to his hometown. But fate had other plans as a man named Sanjay sat next to him.

Sanjay was a jovial fellow and struck up a conversation with Randeep. Initially hesitant, Randeep slowly warmed up to Sanjay's friendly nature and they talked about everything under the sun.

They talked about their jobs, families, and hobbies. Sanjay was a travel enthusiast and had visited many places. Randeep, on the other hand, had a passion for reading and was well-versed in literature.

As the train chugged along, the conversation between Randeep and Sanjay became more and more interesting. They shared their personal experiences and exchanged their views on various topics.

"Have you read any good books lately?" asked Sanjay.

"Yes, I recently finished reading 'The Catcher in the Rye'. It's a classic," replied Randeep.

"Oh, that's one of my favorites too! Have you read 'To Kill a Mockingbird'?" asked Sanjay.

"Yes, I have. It's a brilliant book," said Randeep.

They continued talking about books and their favorite authors for a while, lost in the conversation.

As the train approached their destination, they exchanged numbers and promised to keep in touch. Randeep got off the train feeling grateful for the chance encounter with Sanjay.

"Thank you for the wonderful conversation, Sanjay. It was great meeting you," said Randeep as he waved goodbye.

"The pleasure was all mine, Randeep. Safe travels!" replied Sanjay with a smile.

A month had passed since Randeep and Sanjay's train journey, and Sanjay had almost forgotten about the chance encounter. But one day, he received a phone call from Randeep that left him pleasantly surprised.

"Hello, Sanjay? It's Randeep. How have you been?" Randeep's voice sounded excited.

"Randeep! I'm good, how about you?" Sanjay replied.

"I'm doing great. Listen, I have some exciting news to share with you. I'm getting married next month!" Randeep said, his voice filled with joy.

"Wow, that's wonderful news! Congratulations, Randeep," Sanjay replied, genuinely happy for his new friend.

"I wanted to invite you to the wedding. It would be an honor to have you there," Randeep said.

"I'd be honored to attend your wedding, Randeep. Thank you so much for inviting me," Sanjay replied, touched by Randeep's gesture.

They chatted for a while, catching up on what had happened since their train journey. As they talked, Sanjay realized that he had made a new friend for life.

"I'm really looking forward to seeing you at the wedding, Sanjay. It means a lot to me," Randeep said, his voice filled with warmth.

"I'll be there, Randeep. I wouldn't miss it for the world," Sanjay replied, his heart full of gratitude.

As they said their goodbyes, Sanjay realized that their chance encounter on the train had led to a lifelong friendship.

He smiled to himself, feeling grateful for the unexpected joys that life can bring.

Sanjay arrived at Randeep's wedding ceremony, excited to celebrate his new friend's special day. As he walked towards the stage, he noticed Randeep's beautiful bride standing next to him. Sanjay's heart skipped a beat when he realized that the bride was none other than Karishma, his ex-girlfriend whom he had broken up with many years ago.

Sanjay stood rooted to the spot, unable to believe what he was seeing. He wondered if it was a coincidence or if Randeep had known about their past relationship.

"Sanjay, my friend! It's so good to see you!" Randeep exclaimed as he spotted Sanjay.

"Hey, Randeep! Congratulations on your wedding," Sanjay replied, trying to sound normal.

"Thank you so much. I'm so glad you could make it," Randeep said, hugging Sanjay.

As Randeep introduced him to Karishma, Sanjay's mind was in turmoil. He didn't know what to say or how to react. His heart was beating fast as he struggled to keep his emotions in check.

"Karishma, this is Sanjay. He's a dear friend of mine," Randeep introduced.

"Hello, Sanjay. It's nice to meet you," Karishma said with a smile, oblivious to Sanjay's inner turmoil.

"Hi, Karishma. Congratulations on your wedding," Sanjay said, trying to keep his voice steady.

As the wedding ceremony progressed, Sanjay found it difficult to keep his mind off Karishma. Memories of their past relationship flooded his mind, making it hard for him to enjoy the celebration.

But he didn't want to spoil Randeep's special day. He tried his best to stay composed and be a good guest.

As the wedding drew to a close, Randeep and Karishma thanked Sanjay for attending and said their goodbyes. Sanjay watched them leave, feeling a strange mix of emotions.

He realized that sometimes life can be unpredictable, and that chance encounters can lead to unexpected twists and turns.

After the wedding, Sanjay couldn't stop thinking about Karishma. Despite his best efforts to move on, he found himself drawn to her again.

It started with a casual text message from Karishma, asking how he was doing. They exchanged a few messages, and before he knew it, they were planning to meet.

Their first meeting was awkward, but they both felt the chemistry between them. They talked for hours, catching up on old times and reminiscing about the past.

"I can't believe we're doing this, Sanjay. It feels like we're cheating on Randeep," Karishma said, looking guilty.

"I know. But I can't help how I feel, Karishma. Being with you again feels like coming home," Sanjay replied, looking into her eyes.

They started meeting in secret, stealing moments whenever they could. They knew it was wrong, but they couldn't resist the pull they felt towards each other.

"I know we can't keep doing this, Sanjay. We're going to hurt Randeep, and I can't bear the thought of that," Karishma said, tears in her eyes.

"I know. But I can't let you go again, Karishma. I love you," Sanjay said, taking her hand.

"I love you too, Sanjay. But we have to end this before it's too late," Karishma said, her voice trembling.

As days went by, Randeep started to notice some changes in Karishma's behaviour. She seemed distant and distracted, and he couldn't shake off the feeling that something was amiss.

One day, when he returned home early from work, he found Karishma talking on the phone in hushed tones. She looked startled when she saw him and quickly hung up.

"Who were you talking to, Karishma?" Randeep asked, his tone suspicious.

"Nobody important. Just a friend," Karishma replied, trying to sound casual.

But Randeep wasn't convinced. He had a nagging feeling that something was wrong.

Over the next few days, he started keeping a closer eye on Karishma. He checked her phone when she wasn't looking and found messages from Sanjay.

His worst fears were confirmed when he saw the intimate messages they had exchanged.

"How could you do this, Karishma? How could you cheat on me with my own friend?" Randeep asked, hurt and angry.

"I'm sorry, Randeep. I didn't mean for this to happen. It just did," Karishma replied, tears streaming down her face.

"You need to end things with Sanjay right now. And we need to talk about what comes next," Randeep said, his voice firm.

As they talked, Randeep couldn't help feeling betrayed by both Karishma and Sanjay. He wondered if he could ever trust them again, or if their friendship was irreparably damaged.

He decided to confront Sanjay, hoping to get some answers.

"I trusted you, Sanjay. How could you do this to me?" Randeep asked, hurt and angry.

"I'm sorry, Randeep. I didn't mean to hurt you. But I love Karishma, and I couldn't resist being with her again," Sanjay replied, looking ashamed.

"I can't believe you would do this to me, Sanjay. I thought we were friends," Randeep said, his voice trembling with emotion.

"I know. And I'm sorry. But I can't help how I feel," Sanjay said, his eyes pleading.

Randeep spent the next few days struggling with his emotions. He felt hurt, angry, and betrayed by his two closest friends. But he also felt a sense of sadness, knowing that their friendships would never be the same again.

He tried to talk to Karishma and Sanjay separately, hoping to get some clarity and understanding. But the more he talked to them, the more confused he felt.

Finally, he decided to take some time for himself. He packed a bag and left for a solo trip to clear his mind and figure out what he wanted to do next.

As he travelled, he found himself reflecting on his friendships with Karishma and Sanjay. He realised that he still cared about them deeply, despite their actions.

He also realised that he needed to set some boundaries for himself. He couldn't continue to be friends with Karishma and Sanjay in the same way he had before. Their actions had changed things between them, and he needed to accept that.

When he returned home, he called Karishma and Sanjay to meet him. They sat down together and had a frank conversation about their friendship.

"I need some space, Karishma. I can't be with you in the same way anymore. But I hope we can still be friends," Randeep said, his voice firm but gentle.

"I understand, Randeep. And I'm sorry for hurting you," Karishma replied, tears in her eyes.

"Me too, Randeep. I hope we can still be friends," Sanjay said, his voice hesitant.

Randeep nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. He knew that their friendships would never be the same again, but he also knew that they still cared about each other.

As they parted ways, Randeep felt a sense of closure. He knew that he would always have a special place in his heart for Karishma and Sanjay, even if they could never be as close as they once were.
