Legend has it that in the forest, there is a wishing tree that can grant any wish. Whoever makes a wish to the wishing tree, a lizard will deliver the apple borne on the tree to the wisher's home that night, and the magical apple will be able to grant his wish.

However, it is not so easy to make a wish to the wishing tree. The wishing tree can't be found. Some people try their best to find the wishing tree but get nothing; some people just pass by the forest by chance and can find the wishing tree. Some people believe that the wishing tree does not appear in a fixed location and that it is able to move freely; others believe that the wishing tree screens visitors and that only those who meet certain conditions have the chance to encounter the wishing tree.

All in all, the rumors surrounding the wishing tree are never interrupted, and those who achieve their wishes through the wishing tree live a happy life, while those who do not encounter the wishing tree dream about this matter.

There was a lucky farmer who stumbled upon the wishing tree. He had to walk through the forest in order to go home early because he had delayed his return home because of some matters, and it was this inadvertent decision that made him one of the few lucky people in the world.

The wishing tree asked him, "What wish do you have that you want me to grant for you?"

Although the farmer had heard many legends about the wishing tree, but today he really met it, but felt that it was all so unreal. He thought for a while and replied, "I wish for a good harvest every year."

The wishing tree said, "Okay, I received your wish."

After saying that, the wishing tree disappeared, and the surrounding area became the familiar forest again. The farmer wondered if he was too tired to hallucinate, so he ran home quickly and lay down on his bed to sleep. The farmer woke up in a daze and saw a faintly glowing lizard carrying a golden apple, crawling in through a crack in the window and leaving after putting the golden apple down.

The farmer was sleepless, he picked up the golden apple and looked at it carefully, cut it into two pieces with a knife, and suddenly a large pile of seeds fell out of the apple. The farmer only needs to plant one seed at a time, so he can make a large field full of crops, so he can harvest a lot of food and vegetables every year.

Another lucky person was a woodcutter who made a wish to the wishing tree that he would be able to cut wood more easily. That night, the woodcutter also received a golden apple from the lizard. After he used the golden apples as a whetstone to polish his axe, it became a magical axe that required only one chop to cut a large tree and soon had new saplings growing out of the stump left behind.

This day the village lazy man was also lucky enough to find the wishing tree, and he thought nothing of making a wish saying, "I want to live a life without worrying about food and drink."

After getting the golden apple, the lazy man took a bite of the apple and found that it did not taste delicious, so he threw it aside. The next day at noon, after the lazy man woke up from his sleep, his original hand could not lift the see can not carry himself, suddenly became very strong and powerful, it seems that this is the magic power of the golden apple. Now, the lazy man, who was despised by the village people, suddenly became the village bully, because no one could beat him, so the lazy man lived a life of no worries about food and drink.

Until one day, the lazy man suddenly found that his body was big and heavy, and it was hard to even stand up. He wanted to eat another bite of apple and become Hercules again, but the apple was long gone, even the core was gone. The slothful man cried out for help, hoping that someone would come to his aid. But when the village people found that the lazy man became unable to move, they ignored him and went to work. Soon after, the lazy man died of hunger in his own house.
