I have heard this particular line many times, and I still think it is one of their best songs ('People Are Strange'). And I think a drabble is in order.

Mary was on her third divorce while Lucy tried online dating and Sally said that all men are trash inside our favourite tea shop; never a café, said the owner as her own son brought out the fine china and we wondered how things went the way they did and he really was grown now, wasn't he, said Mary when she dropped a napkin and asked him if he could get it and Lucy forgot about her Bumble account and Sally gave up on her theory for a moment because he was still a young boy and we all looked...
