Tale of an orphan
Where it all started from

Getting home that faithful Thursday to see cars packed all over the house, my thought was mummy is back from the hospital. Earlier that day I had to go for a lecture at the university of Ekiti and although my mind was rambling about what could be going on in the hospital? Hope mummy is feeling better?, I should go and see her Tomorrow morning. These thoughts were going to and fro in my mind, I was so unstable that my friend Blenca noticed and she whispered to my ear, “hope you are following? I just answered; yes. “This man should just finish his class I feel like going home”.
At exactly 12 noon I received a call from my aunty, she clearly told me to be going home straight that I will meet my sister at home. I was happy because it been three days now since I have set my eyes upon her. Immediately I bid goodbye to my friends and headed home. Seeing this cars should be a think of joy. From afar, I spotted our General overseer and some members of the church gathered and as I came closer they all scattered and welcomed me warmly. Now I got to the entrance and found my sister crying. I didn’t really understand why she could be crying and then she opened her mouth to say: Mum is dead!!. Immediately I heard that word I could not cry, I was just looking at everybody, I ran to her room and sat on the bed crying and wailing.
About sixteen years ago, I loss my daddy to a ghastly motor accident and this woman has been taking good care of us and playing dual role as a parent. Life had not really been palatable but my mum tried to feed, clothe and send us to school. No forthcoming help from any family yet, she didn’t give up on us.
