The heart of a man, always yearning for hopes and their fulfillment, has always cherished dreams of a utopia for a long time. Painted with flawless governance, boundless prosperity and harmonious existence, these utopias are the epitome of human existence all a utopian realm, a beacon of hope and but an unspoken fear that serve as a critique of a fragmented reality. Yet, the more we examine these shining ideals, the more they begin to seem like a dream – a beautiful, complex creation of a mind. And perhaps, even more than that Elusively, the notion of a universally perfect world is a dream within that initial dream, a layer of abstraction that takes us further away from its tangible realization.

Behind the Silent Smile
It was always her smile that caught people’s attention. Soft, serene, almost haunting—like a sunset that knows night is coming. Areeba was the kind of woman who carried storms in her eyes but never let a drop fall. Her colleagues at the school adored her, the children adored her more. Then, It Was My Turn
I was not always that tough kid that the other children feared. In first grade, I came across my first bully. His name was Thaddeus Wilder. At the age of only 6 years old, he was the size of an 18-year-old. Maybe that’s a small exaggeration, but needless to say, the boy towered over me. I’m not sure he was a boy. He might have been a gorilla. I don’t know what he was.
