Every synapse in me stretched outwards hoping to catch her. But it was hopeless. Too many scents and sounds crowded my ability to find her, her braided hair becoming another pattern in the fabrics along the stalls. Paralyzing Darkness
I'm laying at the end of the yard, next to the roadside. Their is a wooded area across from me. It's night out and the stars are very visible above me. The yard is fimiliar. It's my childhood yard except the yard is longer and more sloped. I roll over and look up at the home at the top. It's similar but not quite the same as my childhood home but I want to get inside. I try to stand but can't. I can't feel my legs, I can't move them at all. So I start to shimmy my way up the yard. using my arms to pull myself forward. The grass is wet and dewy and I keep peeking behind me seeing the woods. At one point I look back and there is a small fire at the treeline as well. But nothing else.
Flooded Thoughts
This place isn't familiar. I'm looking about me to try to recognize any part of this wet, wooded area. I appear to be in a small hidden ditch of some kind. So I look about, trying to find a way out. It's mostly woods all around me but behind me is a small cliff. Rocks that seem easy enough to climb up and the top is just a few feet from me so it shouldn't be to problematic to reach the top. I climb up with very little struggle. When I get to the top I'm quite disheartened and a bit overwhelmed at the sight. I am now standing on a small bit of muddy land and it is raining much harder than when I was in the little pit.
