Surprisingly, the new surroundings sounded serene, almost to a quixotic degree. David opened his eyes to a setting that was all too familiar yet alien at the same time: all around him were tall tree of a reddish-brown hue but with gold, blue, and purple leaves that had a silver edge to each of them; the sky shone a greenish hue with golden red clouds marking the sky; the grass beneath his feet seemed to glisten a silvery red and gave off an earthy, alluring scent in as the wind blew around. The forest they were in, though unsettling in terms of it’s peculiar color scheme, felt as if it were singing as the gentle breeze traversed the trees and other foliage.

THE ROOT OF BITTERNESS
The peceful kingdom under Williams was brought to chaos as a result of of Alfred’s strategic intensions. Indeed, for several years before that, Alfred had been building political capital to assemble a base of loyal noble supporters and great commanders. This relative peace which characterized Williams rule was soon going to be violently shattered. Thus, one night, Alfred proceeded with his plan to see the results as soon as possible. When he had the people with him he began his rebellion. Often described as being perfectly quiet, the palace was now broken by Alfred’s soldiers’ faint and careful steps. The first one whom Williams identified as a tribal leader was Henry, the chief counselor who influenced the governor’s decisions. Although Henry had been a wary of Alfred, he was still not aware of Alfred’s greed to apprise the throne. Alfred who had hired some killers saw to it that they attacked Henry in his bedroom and killed him in a most silent manner. In the same regard, Alfred’s men swooped down on Williams’ chambers, Therefore This reduced the pathetic fallacy of having a still functional society which was quite inconguiring when Alfred’s forces descended on Williams’ chambers. Even though, Williams was a great warrior, he was caught of guard. This was followed by a short but very furious fight and Williams put up his best to stop it, but to no avail he was forced to surrender. Killer Alfred dealt the final blow to Williams to make sure that he will not be able to rise up again. With the young princes out of the way, particularly Henry and Williams, Alfred did not waste time to ensure that he took over fully. It is declared that he was a king with a loud voice in the palace informing everybody that there was a new king in town. The court was surprised and immediately obeyed him because they were scared of him. Alfred then proceeded to sit on the throne and focus on pursuing Diana as the latter was necessary to validate his claim to the throne and as a woman he had a desire for. He called her to him and offered her marriage asking her to accept his hand to help maintain the kingdom and to honor her brother. Diana, who, recently, had been through many shocks, listened to him, shuddering. The idea of marrying her brother’s killer was something she could not imagine and she told Alfred in very clear terms that she would not marry him. In reply, Alfred composed and assured soon become enraged and proceeded to advance towards the man, choosing to speak in hush tones. ‘You will reconsider,’ he told her menacingly, but the woman was not given to changing her mind easily and Diana refused to budge.

Roots and Romance - A Fight for Nature and Love – Chapter 1
Chapter One "This is my own private torture chamber," she said to herself, as the beat-up bus rattled to a stop, spewing a cloud of dust that for an instant obscured the quaint depot facade. Time seemed to slow down for Britta as she stared out the window. Her forehead creased, intent on the task; her lips pressed into a thin line. Her fingers drummed a nervous rhythm on the windowsill, an overt clash to the stillness of the outside world. The bustling city life she was accustomed to felt like a chronicle. Here, in this scorching sleepy town nestled amidst rolling hills, silence stretched as vast as the sky.

Dream Catcher
In the deepest depths of your dreams you may find her. Dressed in white woven fishnet with tribal accents, but she doesn’t always appear in that form. Sometimes she doesn’t appear at all. Sometimes when you find yourself in deep sleep paralysis or sleep walking moving against your will, you might be at her whim. They call her Dream-Catcher.
