The Christmas Tree
I forgot just how big the stupid thing was - the old, faux tree stored away in my parents' garage. It took me forever to haul the damned thing from it's place in the loft, and even longer to prop it up into something that resembled a standing position. I'm sure if there'd been any onlookers they would've burst out laughing more than once as the plastic branches whacked me back and forth, refusing to come out of that beaten up old box.

The Emoji of Love
Kelly was a luminary artist who lived in the center of Bolivia, where the stars were reflected in the celestial dance of city lights. Kelly skillfully incorporated emotions into her digital painting. She painted her heart into each stroke of her stylus in her dreamlike haven, which was filled with colors of passion and the aroma of creativity. Kelly wanted to give the digital tapestry life and depth in a world where emotions were often reduced to emoticons and love was trapped in pixels.

In Flight
The heavy rumbling of the powerful engines reverberated through the brightly lit interior of the plane. Gazing out of the window, she noticed the beautiful midnight sky. They would be taking off in the cover of darkness, like an incandescent wand cutting through black velvet cloth, only to land in the brightness of day. If she thought about that too much, her mind would simply become a jumble of philosophical constructs. Instead, she chose to enjoy the pink and blue lights of the cabin and contemplate her arrival.
