The Case of the Missing Dog
It was a typical Saturday in Maplewood, a small town where nothing much ever happened. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and everyone seemed to be minding their own business—except for me, of course. I was lounging on my porch, sipping iced tea, and trying to think of something to do when a frantic knock interrupted my daydream.

An Important Newsflash!!
We interrupt "Little Red Leaf" to bring you an exclusive update: Today, Rachel Deeming, author ordinaire, (the extra having melted away many months ago) celebrated with a large yawn. The cause of such heightened and reckless behaviour? Her writing a microfiction every day for the last 300 days: a Spartan amongst writers.

Wreck-It Ralph: Dress to Impress. AI-Generated.
Wreck-It Ralph: Dress to Impress Plot Overview: Ralph, known for smashing things, finds himself stuck in a world that is the exact opposite of his usual chaos—the Dress to Impress universe in Roblox. This game is all about fashion, creativity, and earning the highest status by impressing other players with your outfits and style. To escape and return to his own world, Ralph must achieve the highest level of fame, style, and creativity. But there's a catch—he has no idea how to dress up, let alone impress fashion-savvy players! --- Scene 1: Ralph’s Arrival Ralph crashes through a portal, landing smack-dab in the middle of Dress to Impress, surrounded by avatars wearing extravagant outfits—princess gowns, futuristic armor, glittering wings, and more. Ralph: [groaning, looking around] Oh, great! Where’s all the smashing? Where are the blocks to break? [pauses as he sees avatars strutting around] Wait, is this a fashion show? He tries to walk away, but a neon sign flashes overhead: “Achieve the top Fashion Status to be set free!” --- Scene 2: The Fashion Showdown Ralph learns that he has to participate in different fashion themes and dress his avatar accordingly. He teams up with a few enthusiastic players who help him navigate the tricky world of style. Ralph’s first few attempts are… less than successful. Theme: Fantasy Royale Ralph appears on the runway in an odd mix of a knight’s helmet, clown shoes, and a fluffy tutu. Ralph: [grinning nervously] Uh, how do I look? The judges give him a low score, and Ralph facepalms, realizing he’s going to have to do a lot better if he wants to escape. --- Scene 3: Ralph’s Struggle to Fit In Ralph's brute-force approach doesn't work here, and he feels out of place in this glamorous, glitter-filled universe. He tries to make armor out of random objects and combines outfits in ways that just don’t work. Frustrated, Ralph vents to his new friend, a player named Lila. Ralph: [sighing] I’m not made for this! I’m a bad guy, remember? How am I supposed to be good at dressing up and looking… fabulous? Lila: [laughs] Fashion isn’t about being perfect, Ralph. It’s about expressing who you are! You’ve got to find what you like and own it. --- Scene 4: Finding His Style Ralph takes her advice and begins to embrace his own quirky style. He stops trying to mimic the other players and instead starts to mix elements that reflect his personality—bold, big, and unapologetic. He incorporates things like construction gear, arcade-inspired accessories, and even his iconic overalls into the fashion themes. In one challenge, Theme: Steampunk—he rocks an oversized mechanical arm, goggles, and a patched-up waistcoat, winning over both judges and the crowd with his unexpected creativity. --- Scene 5: Rivalry with the Fashion Star Ralph’s rise to fame catches the attention of Stylo, the reigning Dress to Impress champion. Stylo, with his immaculate outfits and huge fanbase, sees Ralph as a threat. Stylo begins sabotaging Ralph, spreading rumors that Ralph’s style isn’t "authentic" and mocking his unorthodox approach. Stylo: [sneering] Just because you’re big doesn’t mean you can be big in fashion, Ralph. Stick to smashing things. But Ralph doesn’t give up. He starts learning from his mistakes, getting creative with themes, and—most importantly—having fun with it. He realizes that, just like in his own world, being true to himself is the key. --- Scene 6: The Final Showdown To win the game, Ralph must face Stylo in the final round—a no-limits Free-Style Fashion Battle where they must create their best, most original look. Ralph draws on everything he’s learned, combining elements from across the Roblox universe: a giant, retro-arcade-style jacket, neon lights, and even pixelated effects that nod to his origins. Stylo, on the other hand, tries to go over-the-top with a polished, high-fashion outfit. But his look feels cold and unoriginal compared to Ralph’s. As they walk the runway, Ralph surprises everyone with his confidence and unique style. --- Scene 7: Victory and Freedom The votes pour in, and Ralph’s originality and self-expression win over the crowd. He achieves the highest status, officially becoming the Dress to Impress champion. As the final scores are tallied, Ralph is finally released from the game, but not before he takes one last triumphant walk down the runway, fist raised high. Ralph: [grinning, winking at the audience] Who knew fashion could be this fun? The portal reopens, and Ralph is transported back to his own world, where he breathes a sigh of relief—but also wears a tiny, fashionable accessory as a memento of his stylish adventure. --- Moral of the Story: Ralph learns that no matter the game, being yourself is always what impresses the most. Even in a world of glitz and glamour, it’s your heart—and your confidence—that shines brightest.

Weird Barbie goes to Therapy. AI-Generated.
Scene: Therapy Session with Riley and Weird Barbie The therapy room is cozy, with soft lighting, plush furniture, and shelves filled with books and toys. Riley, the therapist, sits in an armchair, her posture calm and open. Inside her mind, Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, and Anger man the control panel, ready to react to the unfolding conversation. Across from her sits Weird Barbie—her hair chopped unevenly, face scribbled with marker, and wearing a wild mix of outfits. She fidgets slightly, her demeanor a mix of confusion, defiance, and vulnerability. --- Riley: [smiling gently] So, Weird Barbie, thanks for coming today. I understand you’re feeling like you don’t really belong in Barbie Land? Weird Barbie: [sitting cross-legged, tapping her foot nervously] Yeah… I mean, I’m not like the others, am I? They all have perfect hair and perfect lives. Meanwhile, I’m… [gestures to her disheveled appearance] this. They look at me like I’m broken, like I’m some freak. --- Inside Riley’s head, Sadness steps up to the console, her shoulders slumped. Sadness: "I know what it’s like to feel out of place. This is so sad…" Joy quickly intervenes, gently pushing Sadness aside. Joy: "Hold on! We can help her! Let’s try to focus on the positive. She’s unique! Let’s celebrate that." --- Riley: [softly] It sounds like you’ve been through a lot. You’re different, but that doesn’t make you less than the others. In fact, it sounds like you’re needed in Barbie Land because you offer something no one else does. Have you ever thought about how your uniqueness helps others? Weird Barbie: [frowning, confused] Helps? I mean… the only time anyone comes to see me is when they’ve messed up and want to hide it. I’m the ‘fix-it Barbie,’ or worse, the one they laugh at. --- Inside Riley’s mind, Disgust rolls her eyes, adjusting a lever. Disgust: "Ugh, why do people have to be so judgmental? I mean, Weird Barbie is way more interesting than those ‘perfect’ ones!" Fear chimes in. Fear: "But what if we say the wrong thing and she feels even more misunderstood?" Joy steps forward again, determined. Joy: "No, we’ve got this. Weird Barbie has her own strengths, and we need to help her see them!" --- Riley: [nodding thoughtfully] That must be really tough. You’re always there when people need help, but it feels like they don’t see you for who you really are. But I wonder… have you thought about how, because you’re different, you know things they don’t? You have a kind of wisdom they can’t get from anyone else. I think that’s why they come to you. Weird Barbie: [raises an eyebrow skeptically] Wisdom? From me? I mean, sure, I’ve been around, and I’ve seen some stuff. But that just makes me… weird, doesn’t it? --- Sadness sighs in Riley’s mind, but Joy stays persistent. Joy: "Wisdom isn’t always pretty or perfect. Sometimes it’s messy, but that’s what makes it real." Anger, however, seems less patient. Anger: "Ugh! Why do people have to call her ‘Weird Barbie’? It's so unfair! I hate that!" --- Riley: [leans forward slightly] You’re not weird

The Lost City of Lumora
The Mysterious Map It was an ordinary afternoon in the small town of Eldridge when 14-year-old Max stumbled upon a dusty old map in his attic. The map, rolled up and hidden behind some old boxes, looked ancient. Its edges were torn, and strange symbols were scribbled all over it. At the bottom, in bold, faded letters, it read: “The Lost City of Lumora.”

The Queen Pelalandorus Incident
The river ran backwards on the day the Queen vanished. Perhaps it was the wind. Others say it was because we were famished. A curse? For having killed her kin. Divine retribution for those we banished. A plague sent by the Vaquarin? For a war that was unfinished.

A Letter to Danger Mouse
Dear Mighty Mouse I am aware that our paths have never crossed and that you may not know who I am. This could be due to several reasons. Before I get to far, let me introduce myself. My name is Overcat. I am a “friend” of Underdog. I’m sure that the 2 of you have met in the GSHCR, the Global Super-Hero Chat Room.

Dear P.
Here is a link to the challenge: And please, forgive me... * Dear P., Perhaps this is a little confusing. Your real name is Alison (or is that Alyson...or Alys? It is never clear in the text), but most of the world knows you as the wife. Or the Wife. The woman who travelled with all of those other pilgrims to that famous cathedral in England, and was given the longest of the prologues in Geoffrey's most famous long poem. You boasted of your five husbands, telling us of the three who were good - old, rich and submissive - and the two who were bad (not much detail there). You were also 'gat-toothed' (ah, that gap in the teeth was a symbol of its time that we may want to give back - so much sensuality in it). This was to symbolize your liberated sexuality...as if this was not already clear from the tale spilled out from your lips...
