She clicked on it and opened the page. She was shocked by what she saw. She expected to see a map of her ethnic background and a list of her relatives. Instead, she saw a message that said: "WARNING: You are in danger. Do not trust anyone. They are after you. They want to kill you." She stared at the screen, confused and scared. She thought it was a joke or a mistake. She refreshed the page, hoping it would change. It didn't. She closed the page and checked the email again. It was from the same company that she ordered the kit from. It had their logo and their address. It looked legitimate. She wondered who sent her this message and why. She wondered who they were and what they wanted. She wondered why they were after her and why they wanted to kill her. She decided to call the company and ask for an explanation. She dialed the number on the email and waited for someone to answer. "Hello, this is DNA Quest. How can I help you?" a voice said. "Hi, this is Anna Smith. "Well, it appears that your DNA sample was contaminated by another sample," the voice said. "Contaminated? How?" Anna asked. "We don't know exactly how, but it seems that someone switched your sample with another one before we processed it," the voice said. "Switched? By whom?" Anna asked. "We don't know that either, but we suspect that it was done by someone who works for us," the voice said. "Why would someone do that?" Anna asked. "We don't know that either, but we have reason to believe that it was done for malicious purposes," the voice said. "What do you mean?" Anna asked. "We mean that someone wanted to hide your true identity and put you in danger," the voice said. "My true identity? What are you talking about?" Anna asked.
