Prologue II: The River’s Secret
Author: Dream Books Sanjeevi Some say the river actually flows in the opposite direction, and it did the day the Queen disappeared. The water was glimmering, but usually flowing towards the sea; and originating a storm and desperate movement as if the world rejected what had occurred. People were caught standing on the river’s edge with their eyes opened wide and their lips open in prayers to gods who had deserted them. This was no ordinary omen.

The Witching Hour Mishap
Agatha Harkness sat in her dimly lit parlor, fingers dancing over the pages of an ancient tome. She sipped her tea calmly, the quiet of her New England home soothing after a long day of magical study. Outside, the trees swayed in the cool autumn breeze, and the sky held a harvest moon, casting eerie shadows.

The Last Train to Nowhere
As he arrived, a chill crept through the air, wrapping around him like a ghostly shroud. The station's wooden sign swayed in the wind, creaking ominously. Sam grinned, his flashlight beam cutting through the darkness as he approached the platform. He was determined to uncover the stories hidden in the shadows of this desolate place.

"THE WATCH"
There was something hypnotic about the way the old watch ticked. It wasn’t just a timekeeper; it was a legacy. Passed down from one generation to the next, the watch had seen more than any human could. Its sleek silver casing, though slightly tarnished, gleamed under the dim glow of the lamps in Ethan’s small, cluttered apartment. He often found himself staring at it for hours, as if it held the answers to questions he didn’t know he had.

Nowhere To Go. Content Warning.
"Lilah!" I heard mom shout for the third time from across the camp. "I said I'm coming!" I yelled back. "I can't find my bracelet!" That stupid bracelet that I just had to wear everywhere. It was the last thing I ever received from dad, and I could not find it for the life of me.

Eternal City
Atlantis, the eternal city, glowed with an otherworldly brilliance, bathed in a radiant light that seemed to pour from the very composition of the cosmos. Its streets shimmered with the vibrant pulse of crystal energy, casting a kaleidoscope of colors across towering spires that stretched endlessly towards the heavens, piercing the skies like sentinels of a forgotten age. The entire city floated, suspended between dimensions, existing in a liminal realm where time and space bent to the will of those who held the secrets of the universe. Here, in this mystical plane, the laws of nature were but suggestions, and the boundaries between worlds blurred, allowing the Atlanteans to thrive in harmony with both the material and ethereal. They were an enlightened race, guided by the wisdom of the cosmos and protected by an ancient, celestial being—the Light Dragon, a being of boundless power and grace that descended from realms beyond the stars.

Family Remembrance . Top Story - October 2024.
Family Remembrance D. A. Ratliff I first saw her leaning against the rough brick wall about a block off Bourbon Street. She wasn't particularly beautiful, but the word lovely kept creeping into my mind. Thick black hair pulled off her face, curled tresses tied with a purple ribbon cascaded down her back. I assumed she was a street performer. Her purple and green striped dress and velvet shoes seemed in place in the French Quarter. I'd seen my fair share of burly guys in pink tutus and blue wigs wandering the streets. She was a pleasant diversion.

The Chronos Legacy
Avery Blake had always known she was different. It wasn't just the antique pocket watch she wore around her neck, ticking in perfect synchronization with her heartbeat. Nor was it the way time seemed to bend around her, stretching and contracting like an accordion in her hands. No, what set Avery apart was the weight of destiny that hung over her like a storm cloud, a legacy passed down through generations of Blakes.

Tikki and the Elf´s Ring
In Denmark, we have a dog breed that in English speaking countries you know as a "dachshund," but in Danish, it's called a "gravhund." Translated literally, "dig-dog" – well, that's not quite correct because the prefix "grav" refers to a fox or badger's burrow, which the breed was developed to fit perfectly into in order to chase the animal out. However, there's now a widespread misconception that it’s because they love to dig.
