The Realms
The original Cypress Cemetery was an ancient graveyard said to be filled with the bodies of witches, making the graveyard and surrounding lands cursed and the dirt baron. The old Cypress Cemetery became known as the Witches Graveyard as the trees and plants eventually died off, and soon it started affecting the farmlands. The small town became hysterical, neighbors blaming neighbors, and families turned on one other. One day a farmer's eldest son saw a figure go into the woods, so the young man followed. What he saw had him running back to town and straight to the town's clergymen, where the farmer's son recounted what he saw in the woods. A mob was formed that night; they stormed the house of an older woman and her granddaughter. They forcefully took the granddaughter out of her bed and dragged her to the town square. They bound her wrists and ankles to a wooden table, logs placed around it, ready to burn the witch. Her cheeks were stained with tears as they found her guilty of witchcraft. They burned an innocent soul that night. But she did not go quietly, for the townspeople had wronged her. So, with her last breath, she cursed the village that there would be a day when a greater evil would come and destroy the town of Cypress and all who lived there.

Outside, looking in.
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse from his bedroom window. She was to be kept from the disease, pestilence and perils from the above world. Her innocence put any man to shame. Her Political stance was one that was to lead her into many a hot water but she wasn’t born to breathe “people”, she breathed air, fire and brimstone. If you didn’t like her that was completely understandable as she brought the demons out of even the most revered souls.

Mother’s nature and Father’s Time
Winds howl and screech as the sky starts to spiral into a dark vortex, lightning and thunder send monstrous booms and cackles through the sky! In the center of all of this was a discombobulated Mother Nature, usually her outbursts weren't this bad but this one in particular was laced with many troubles. Oceans bashed and moaned, the animals acted rabid and carnal, the humans assumed it was the end of days and they decided to take shelter.

That Window.
The outside world was unknown to her but she could see from his window. He was there again! No one could see him only me from his window lounge. I was not to say anything my “friend” advised otherwise they will make me take all kinds of tests, and medication. But I really could see him again as plain as day, through the window, I made an excuse and pretended I was looking at the beautiful snow scenes and how it was almost New Year While Bob was making a snowman outside, he put a piece of stick for his nose and stones for his eyes. I was laughing inside, it - he was hilarious.

In the House of the Wasp. Runner-Up in Behind the Last Window Challenge.
The outside world was unknown to her, but she could see a glimpse of it through the window in his room. There wasn’t a room, of course. At least she didn’t think so. Her vision was just temporarily framed like that – she imagined it was akin to horse blinders.

The Fire Drake: Chapter 3
The black spires rising from the lava flow stretched toward the cold light of the stars like fingers desperately clinging to life. Azroth shivered as the night pressed down on the desert, and frost crystals glittered on the craggy surfaces of the black rock around him.

Behind the Last Window
Behind the last window, the world was dark and cold. It had been like that for as long as anyone could remember. The window was the only source of light and warmth in the room, and it was guarded with the utmost care. The people who lived in the room huddled close to the window, basking in its glow as they tried to forget the horrors that awaited them outside.

Shadow of Night
Esther’s heels clicked and clacked down the hallway as she made way for the throne room. Everyone’s eyes were on her as whispers snaked around her gorgeous figure. The red ball gown she wore cascaded down her body in beautiful scarlet rivulets. Her hair was tied up in a mess of braids and curls, slicked back with a single golden pin. The icing on the cake was what lay beneath the dress itself. The single dagger that was strapped to her leg twisted in its sheath as she glided down the ebony hallways, the marble floor glistening under the moonlight. Esther had a single mission, and a couple of blank stares thrown her way weren’t going to stop her.
