The Witches
There is a balance, in this world, our world, of power. I’m not talking about protons and electrons, the kind of power that makes cars go and engineers orgasm. I mean the power of death and dreaming, of desire and disgust, depression and delight, decay and deliverance. I am talking about the power that moves *people*, the power of a thought, an emotion, a want, a need. The power inherent in sentient life. There is power in all of us, though some more than others, and those who purposefully wield this power are known as witches.
