A Virtual Band of Heroes
There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. And the game used to just be a game. I slipped the immersive gear over my eyes, immediately questioning whether I’d spawned into the correct location. Apparently, Adira had taken our parting words to heart, breaking the townhouse in with quite the party. To say the room was trashed was the epitome of an understatement. Had it not been for the two mops of white hair, it would have been near impossible to sort her from the mess of it all.

Where you could enjoy life and the natural surroundings without having to be constantly caught in a vicious cycle of fear, fights, uncertainty, doubts and insecurity.'' Corazón said impatiently.

There weren't always dragons in the Valley. That was before the earth was cursed by the gods with demons and dragons and everything in between. The large body of the beast was in pieces on the ground, destroying the flowered filled area. She sat quietly on the grass, looking over the beautiful clearing. Old Soul
I remember being reborn a thousand times. In the between-times, and at the very start and end of a life, the memories are strong. I remember the warmth of the sun on my crumpled wings as they unfold for one brilliant bright day of flight. I relive the elation of the chase and the sinking of my teeth into the throat of my prey- what a joy it is to satisfy physical hunger. I recall the agony of being prey, because of course, all things must balance out in the end. My heart has pumped cold blood through sinuous coils and thumped its warm-blooded rhythm from ocean depths.
