It was the eve of the Celebration of Merchants. The Celebration of Merchants is an annual holiday and festival shared between the villagers of Mizuka Island, Nu-Nu Shores, and Aomi Bay. The celebration since its inception has been held at the central boat market on the Yonara Sea. The Celebration of Merchants was founded over a century ago to commemorate the Zuka-Nu-Bay Mercantile Treaty, which ended the longtime trade wars between the merchants of Mizuka Island, Nu-Nu Shores, and Aomi Bay. The grandiosity of the festivities proliferated year after year, making the once-one-day festival into a weeklong celebration leading up to the grand cessation. The eve before the Celebration of Merchants was the most vibrant and high-spirited day, as everyone, especially the children, boiled over with joy, excitement, and hilarity in anticipation of the final festival of the celebration.
The Discovery of Aegaeon Isles
The hollowing nautical cyclone current transported Hibo, Chima, Masego, Diallo, Hadiza, and Nnamdi into a dry grassy plain in a new world unlike anything they had ever seen before or imagined. The grassy pasture they were lying in was overflowing with beautiful flowers, the surrounding air was pleasantly fragrant, the sky was full, and beautiful mountains could be seen rolling in the distance. Within the heart of the mountain towards the base, there was a bright alluring light shining through. Unaware of the village or town they were in, the children decided to move about a bit to see if they could see or find any landmarks. The children wandered about the grass plains but could not find any markers to give them insight as to where they were. They called out and shouted, but it was as if they were in the lush bountiful field alone. Hibo, Chima, Masego, Diallo, Hadiza, and Nnamdi discussed amongst themselves what they should do and all of them agreed by the light they came to this place and by the light they would leave so they embarked on a long journey following the piercing light through the mountains.
The Discovery of Aegaeon Isles
The children roamed the town, knocking on every door and window they saw, but no one answered. The children continued to explore the town bewildered by how well-kept it was despite the absence of caretakers. For hours they walked through the town, shouting and beckoning for help, but their cries went unanswered. Fatigued by their search for someone to help them, the children sat down near a fountain to rest their feet.
The Discovery of Aegaeon Isles
As the ship barreled down the water passageway, waves of water began to overtake the ship. Despite the high waves, Diallo continued with all his might to wrestle the ship into submission. Chima, Nnamdi, Hadiza, Hibo, and Masego swiftly began to bail water out of the ship. Without warning a loud bellowing gust of wind entered the cavern and flooded the ships' sails, sending it coursing down the water passageway so fast all the children were flung into the air and knocked hard against the ship walls. As the children attempted to regain their bearings a massive tsunami wave rose out of the waters, "hold onto something!" Masego screamed as she and her comrades quickly scurried to find something to take hold of as the ship raged out of control toward the massive tsunami wave.
