Whenever my humble shop door opens, it’s time for my scintillating performance. A homely bell welcomes my guest. It chimes on its own accord, untouched by the door. Snow waltzes in the open entryway, for just a moment, before a short girl emerges. She’s breathless from the cold. I crouch back into the shadows. Behind a looming bookcase I surrender to licking back a few strands of frizzy hair on my paws. There’s no need to alarm my visitor straight away. Let her browse.

Hello Again
“My vision was blurry. The lights above and around carried their tails to one end to the other. Back and forth just like the chatter amongst voices I could not recognize. It was quite haunting in thought, but I felt warm. The warmth was unexplainable, not the depths of my body but in my spirit. My body felt numb and too stiff to move and when I did, these numb hands would caress and pin me down. I flared around further fear but did so with a smile, I think. I felt closer to home. I laid there fighting the beating of the drum. One after another. It got louder and perhaps more sinister, but the feeling of vibration kept the same. Ringing in my ears became louder with the drums. My eyes heavy but distinct voices became audible at this point, telling me to stay awake. I was afraid to go to sleep, but sleep was what I needed. I’ve had sleep paralysis before, so I didn’t think this was any different. The vibrational feeling became very loud and felt it in the warmth of my body to a point I was going to explode. My eyes then blinked slowly till they closed shut.

She could see trees and the sun, sometimes birds of different colors, and chimneys smoking during the winter time. Once in a while she could hear children laughing outside, but she never saw them. She longed to be part of their play, but she new it was to dangerous for her.

Her brother Jordan does not want to come because Jeffy licks him and then Jeffy’s saliva comes out of his mouth and dribbles on Jordan's pants. I know that is a bit disgusting anyway, but Lilly’s parents decided that they were going to Underwood Island. In stories and news Lilly heard there are volcanoes, which are big and black. It has fire in it. Lilly said she is not scared of volcanoes if they do not erupt during my school holidays.
