Kaliyah Veer let herself better understand her situation. “I was sweeping floors using the bristles as strings now I’m touring the world.”

“Yes, we went against all the odds in order to get here,” Dance Biggs observed.

“Now, the whole world wants black women rock bands. Who would have thought about it like that? Who would have considered that we would be on these stages?” She then pulled out her guitar and started playing some chords.

Kaliyah returned to her tablet and sketched a few lyrics. Furiously, she laid bare her soul through her stylus. “We’re the winners,” she said.
