Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. Jana left her hiding place and joined the dance, weaving and turning as the clouds roiled and boiled across the sky. The blushing of the sky darkened and reddened along with Jana's cheeks, as she matched the pace of the storm. She smiled when she found a jerky harmony with the storm, and her injuries began to heal. Her consciousness merged with the storm.
Jana smiled as she became the storm, and the storm moved into her body. The peaceful purposefulness of the storm filled her with ease, delivering her to a meditative state where her troubles rained down from her, and her spirit was filled with the balance of the storm. She extended her consciousness as the storm and became the rainfall, and noted the castle and the barracks from how the drops reacted. Jana could sense the location of all the soldiers in the street and searching through the market for her. She sensed their "murdery malice" towards her through the connection of the drops, but she was unable to feel anything but peace as she became one with all drops falling on the kingdom proper, and knew all through her connection to the life in every drop.
The storm tentatively moved into Jana's mind as she travelled with the storm. To the storm, the human mind was small and fragile, but beautiful in its design. The storm moved into the body and felt! Oh, the feelings, the fear, the anger, the despair, all so foreign, but so refreshing! The storm felt Jana's harmony and moved into her body at a cellular level, consuming the calcium of her teeth to patch her bones and pulling energy and ram materials from her bodyfat to repair her muscles. Exploration revealed that this body's digestive system was full of protein and ready for fixing.
Once the meat-puppet was operational, the storm experienced the senses of a a real human. She saw through the eyes of a human for the first time in 10,000 years. As a human, she inhaled deeply through his nose and detected the sharp tang of blood and various other body fluids. She felt the storm of adrenaline and cortisol, and channeled that fuel into growth hormone. She worked to interpret the complex mix of chemicals and electricity, not unlike her own stormy consciousness. Then she understood. The feeling was anger. There was fear and sadness, guild and an odd sense of satisfaction too, the satisfaction of the storm. The delicious feeling of anger fueled the connection.
The storm and Jana merged further, and the tiny hairs all over her body stood at attention as the field of storm energy granted her the power and speed of the storm. A harmony circuit was created between the storm and meat-puppet, and the storm was angry. With a sickening flash, lightening struck all of the soldiers and members of the royal family who wanted to kill Jana. She was snapped back into her body as the power of the storm weakened from the lightening strike. Jana threw her hands and arms up to cover her eyes, but still saw the outline of her hand bones as dark shadows surrounded by red.
The storm circled around the kingdoms and adjoining lands, angrily battering homes and barns, occasionally chasing livestock and rattling thunder throughout the towers of the castle as the anger drained from the spirit of the storm. Eventually the torrent calmed and a gentle rain extinguished the fires caused by the lightning strikes.
Jana felt her eyes go blind as the gentle storm retreated, revealing a golden sunset. Her sight was filled with dark purple clouds merging with the storm, then blackness.
