Seymour the Horse

One snowy day Veronica’s airplane landed in Alaska. Veronica had just past her GED test in 1980. When she arrived, her father was so excited. It was the trip of her dreams she was in Alaska with her father. The previous six years had been difficult for her. Once she was in Alaska after only a few days she was introduced to her cousin Stacy who was very pretty and she had very long hair. Stacy had her own bedroom, and she had several cabinets and a large wooden dresser in her room. Her cousin Stacy loved horses. In her room was all size horses, ceramic and glass horses. Veronica started getting excited after she found out her cousin owned her own horse. The horse’s name was Seymour, and he had a beautiful mane. Veronica asked Stacy, “Can I met Seymour”. Veronica let her know she would have to come to an Old Dirty Barn to meet Seymour the horse. Stacy was very serious about riding her horse. She rode in the state championship in Alaska. Next picture Stacy and Veronica entering this Old Dirty Barn and it smelled of horse manure. Of course, it was full of hay. Veronica asked if they were hiring help for the barn and the horse. Stacy’s mom was renting barn space to house Seymour the horse in that horse bred barn. She remembered sitting on a bench and watching her cousin Stacy groom the horse. Then she fed the horse. Lastly Stacy began to ride her horse around the barn, and the surrounding grounds. What makes this story so amazing is the fact that to this very day Stacy loves and owns a horse. Her horse is now stored on horse property in Seattle. Veronica was amazed when she reached Seattle and noticed the barn was old and her new horse was beautiful. One day Veronica falls to sleep, and she had a dream that she had her own horse. After much thought she also bought her own horse and stored in a horse barn on horse property near a rural area in California. She mated her horse and soon Veronica bought a horse property, she than housed her own horse in her own barn. After seeing the contentment and love her cousin showed for horses she had to have her own. Watching a new horse being born in that Old Dirty Barn was amazing. So, Veronica after her Alaska trip found herself caught in another love. The love of horses and how sweet they are. Watching Seymour run and seeing his form really influenced Stacy to race her horse. Veronica hired a trainer who came to the barn every day to care for her horses. One horse was named Shadow he was pure black, and the other was Silverado he had silver in his mane. They all lived in the Barn. Veronica decided she would only allow a man in her life who loves horses. What she would do was frequent the Racetrack and place bets on her favorite horses. One day this really handsome man noticed her there and he smiled. They talked for awhile and exchanged numbers. This was in the 80’s when a cell phone did not exist. As a matter of fact near her home was a red telephone booth and she gave that number as well. She confirmed she spends most her waking hours at the barn with the horse. The man whose name was James asked her for her hand in marriage, he proposed in the barn while she was tending to the horses. He figured he wanted to propose to her when she was happy and her happiest moments were tending to her horse in that Old Dirty Barn. Yahoo!
