"It was not I, dear Lord," pleaded the naked Eve. "The Serpent in the Garden did tempt me and I did eat."

Hissssss.....

That was all the Snake could say. The Lord's eye grew sad as a single tear fell to Earth. Casting the man woman from the garden the serpent slivered away on his belly.

Was he the wicked one, or was he simply a snake?

The man cast blame on the woman and the woman cast her guilt on the serpent. The serpent carried it away as the Lord in the sky cried at the great loss. Paradise was taken, stolen away, Forever.

But who stole paradise from us? Was it God? Was it Satan? Man? Woman? Or did we let it? Did we let it slip from our fingers, unable to stop it and unable to own up to our weakness and short coming?

“And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.”

Genesis

Who killed Able? Who stole Paradise? We lose it every day we choose hatred, pain, and guilt over love, trust, and good will.

Nice insightful analysis of the bible tales. Nicely Done!

  • Eating animal flesh. That’s the true garden of Eden story…. Even now science can tell us it’s the downfall of man… the downfall of health… (and therefor of true love) of spirituality … that and alcohol. They kind of go together…. 😞
