She watched the world from her window, always too scared to step outside. Then one miraculous day at that window, a day she'd never forget, she saw a toddler wander into the middle of the often busy street.

Without thinking, she ran to save him.

As she held the boy, she felt a protective strength she never knew she had. She no longer felt like a prisoner for the first time in many years. She unexpectedly conquered agoraphobia.

By saving someone else, she was saved. From that day on, she embraced every opportunity to step out of her comfort zone.
