Amber sat alone on the cold autumn playground. Children running and laughing around her; happy giggles permeate through the wind paired with the sound of the metal playground equipment. She laid her back against the old oak tree. Her light auburn hair sticking out of her black hooded sweatshirt and had fallen over her pale tear-stained face as she hung her head down. The cool wind blew gold and red leaves around her, chilling her bones and causing her to bring her knees up to chest.

“Hi” a cheerful voice broke through as Amber raised her head slowly. Her honey eyes locked onto the tall dark-haired stranger who disturbed her solitude.

“I’m Randall! I’ve been watching you, how come you don’t play with anyone?” He chirped almost too cheerfully.

Amber eyed him for a moment and mumbled, “most people don’t like to play with me.”

“nonsense!” Randell belted, “I will play with you! Your cute!” he smiled and put his hand out to her, the excitement in his eyes were almost overwhelming.

Ambers eyes dropped to his hand and back up to him, looking deeply into his almost black eyes, the void seemed to almost suck her in, “Why?” the look of confusion spread across her face, “No one wants to play with me.”

Randall laughs, “No one as cute as you should play alone.” He gave her a wink and ran his fingers through his fluffed up dark chestnut brown hair.

“How old are you? Your much taller than the other thirteen-year-olds around here.” She asked narrowing her eyes suspiciously.

“I’m, uhh, fourteen.” He said smiling sweetly, “I’m just tall for my age.”

A smile stretched across her face, her eyes lighting up with anticipation and excitement, “OK!” she took his hand and stood up, “Wanna play tag? I love tag!” Ambers excitement was bubbling over as she bounced with excitement.

“Sounds fun!” Randall exclaimed as a wide toothy grin spread across his face, holding her hand tightly he started pulling her towards the back of the playground. His other hand reaching out and touching her hair, he raised his index finger to stroke her cheek, “Come on, lets hurry! Back here so no one can ruin our fun!” his voice soundly almost hungry.

“Oh yes! That sounds perfect, but first.” Amber grabbed his hand stopping him, “I need a snack! Gotta have energy to run, and honestly I haven’t really eaten much the last few days.” She winked at him playfully.

“Ok, sounds great! What do you have in mind? I could use a bite myself.” He smirked in response, running his pink tongue along his lips that Amber just realized seemed fairly chapped.

“I though you would say that.” She smiled still holding his hand. Her mouth started dropping open as her jaw unhinged, revealing tiny needle like teeth that completed the whole perimeter of the now gaping black abyss. Within a blink of the eye, she had leaned in and pressed her extended mouth to his face, and latching her razor-sharp teeth to him, muffling the screams of pain and fear as she sucked every ounce of fat from his body. When she finally released him, his lifeless jerky of a corpse crumbled to the ground in a heap, Amber kicked his body with enough force to cause it to roll over, his now grey and gaunt face punctured with tiny red pinprick marks all around the outside.

She wiped blood from her mouth and relocated her jaw, “I told you, no one wants to play with me”.

Taking a second to look around and make sure no one had noticed her, she strolled back to her tree and sat back down again. Satiated for the time being.

An unexpected twist, thought she was a victim and it turns out she had it all under control. There are a few grammatical errors in the story you might want to fix by the way.
