“You really wanna hear all this crazy stuff? Like the craziest shit Pim and I went through?” Charlie laughed as they threw away their McDonald’s wrappers and trash.
Katrina took out a lighter and a cigarette from her pocket lighting it. “Sure, I wanna hear your wacky adventures.”
Pim had gone to the restroom, and Allan had followed, needing to go, “powder his nose and freshen up,” while Katrina sat with Charlie outside.
“Well one time Mother Nature attacked us. Pim rescued my dumbass from that.”
“Like, you’re shitting me right? Like actual Mother Nature… yeah right..” Katrina took a drag and made an O with her lips, puffing out perfect smoke rings.
“Fuck that’s cool, Katrina. How are you doing that?” Charlie looked mesmerized by the rings.
She shrugged. “Don’t know. My dad taught me. I just do it by muscle memory now.”
“That’s fucking… wow, does Pim care that you smoke?”
She shook her head. “As long as I do it outside, he doesn’t care. He does often tell me I should quit. Like, he gives me lots of motivation to wanna quit. That’s how sweet he is, but I’m too far gone. I’m beyond addicted to this shit.”
“Yeah. He is sweet. I worry about him. He often gets himself hurt when he helps people. Out on the job,” Charlie said.
“Yeah. Like that bitch-ass Mr. Frog. No offense, I know you like him cuz Pim told me you idolized him or something, but he got badly injured from that little shit.” She took a long drag and blew it away from Charlie. “If I ever see that piece of crap… I’ll have to take him out.”
“Well, I used to idolize him. That’s true. To be honest, when Pim got his face all messed up that day, I lost all my respect and love for him. It really fucked me up to see him like that. So, I’m with you. I’ll take him out too, if we ever cross paths again.”
She winked at him and offered a cigarette to him silently, lifting up her half empty box of cigarettes.
“Nah, I’m good,” Charlie said.
“Like, I heard some shit that you once raised an army to save Pim? Like who the heck do you think you are? Aragorn?”
Charlie laughed. “No, man. I just needed to save my brother. He’s my brother and I would do anything for him.”
She smiled. “I believe that.” She sighed. “Pim has really told me some insane stuff. But I’m so glad he has you. It makes me feel better that he has such a loyal friend.”
“He’s saved my ass plenty, I’m lucky, honestly,” Charlie said.
Katrina stood up, stretching before putting out the rest of the cigarette.
“Where are our guys? I’m getting bored as fuck here,” she said.
“I don’t know. If I know Allan he’s going over every single detail of his current outfit to his face to his ring placement. Pim will probably be out soon,” Charlie said.
“But Allan is only wearing a blue tie,” Katrina said blankly. Charlie chuckled.
“True. He always looks smoking hot in whatever. He just freaks out over everything. It’s his thing, I guess. But he usually looks gorgeous when he’s ready…” Charlie gushed.
“That dude of yours, he’s a riot. I think I’ll need to steal him sometimes so we can chill,” Katrina gushed. “How’d you two even get together? It’s.. you’re both so opposite.”
Charlie shrugged. “I guess I got lucky with that too. He and I didn’t really have even a friendship for a few years. Then, we all sort of started hanging out. It evolved from there. He’s really something else. The smartest guy I ever met. And funny as shit too. I don’t know how I was able to pull that off.”
“I sometimes wonder that too, about myself I mean. It's crazy to me. That night at the bar when I first saw Pim, I never would've thought I'd found my favorite person… he’s so wonderful…”
Charlie smiled. “He sneaks up on you. I was such a stupid guy, like not in touch with other people and just lazy. Pim really helped me see other people’s problems, their struggles and just, like, motivated me.”
“Aww, that’s awesome. I..” Katrina said as Pim and Allan walked out of the McDonald’s.
“What took you so long Pim? Did you have to take a dump?” Charlie joked. Pim gave him a dirty look as he took Katrina’s hand.
“No Charlie only you go take dumps in a McDonald’s bathroom. Pim was helping me with something,” Allan teased back.
“Aww man! McDonald’s dumps! That’s crazy…” Katrina laughed. Pim chuckled a little, blushing.
“With what?” Charlie asked, suspicious.
“Nada, Charlie. Don’t worry,” Pim said to him. “Are we all ready to go?”
Allan took Charlie by the arm, pulling him, “Yes. Let’s go-uh. The moon is full, Charlie,” he whispered in Charlie’s ear, making the latter perk up. “I sense a wild night tonight-uh.”
Charlie grinned as Pim and Katrina were privately chatting and laughing, taking Allan’s hand tight.
“With you by my side, it won’t take long for it to get wild,” Charlie flirted, making Allan blush.
They walked to their car, telling their friends what place they were all meeting at next.
“We just gonna have to find out…” Allan said in a seductive voice, kissing Charlie suddenly by the car, pinning against him. The kiss was short, fast and deep. It surprised Charlie in a good way, and he kissed back instantly.
Suddenly there were loud whoops and cheers, and a loud wolf whistle.
Charlie and Allan looked over and saw Katrina and Pim making the cheering noise.
Allan and Charlie whooped back, whistling.
“Hey you can’t feel someone up in a McDonald’s parking lot!” Katrina yelled loudly as some people came out, giving them all a bad look.
Allan ran into the car. “Come on, hurry!!” He yelled to Charlie. Charlie dove into the drivers seat. As Charlie started the car, he started driving but saw Katrina and Pim driving next to them.
They all flipped each other off, laughing as they drove to a bar. Allan blew him a kiss, and Charlie smiled. It was all Allan ever wanted. Charlie’s smile.
Charlie blew him a kiss back, messing with the steering and swerved, making Allan freak out and help him adjust.
“Don’t kill us trying to woo me. Seriously,” Allan said in a straight voice.
“I gotta woo you still? I thought you already loved me?” Charlie said in a whiny tone.
“I do. I just get wooed differently than others.”
Charlie grinned, “If I put the toothpaste cap on right, you mean?”
Allan blinked then smiled big, “Fuck, that’s what I’m talking about!”
They laughed crazily, driving into the night. Wild or not, Charlie had someone by his side no matter how bad things got.
