Once upon a time, the young man Ajay lived in a little village at the foot of a mountain. Every winter the village was haunted by the ghosts of the dead. Some ghosts wandered in the mountain, some snuck out in the village. Some were not only as strong as the bulls, but also they had the giant bull horns.

One day, Ajay was going to the other side of the mountain to visit his friend. Before departure, his fellow villagers told him, “Hi Ajay. You might meet a ghost in the mountain. But don’t panic. Ghosts can’t climb up the trees. Run for a big tree and climb up it. You will be safe.”

Ajay remembered the tips and went up to the mountain. He was very careful in the beginning, but no ghosts showed up. He started to feel relaxed. He said to himself, “Maybe they are being over concerned.”

Soon it got dark. Suddenly a ghost jumped out of the woods and plunged for him. Its thighs were as big as the buckets, the horns were like the tree trunks. Ajay almost passed out. But he quickly got his mind back.

Tree! Tree! He turned and ran for a tree.

Ajay was a good tree climber. He quickly climbed to the top of the tree. Even he was so fast, he felt the air slashed under his feet, hit the tree. The ghost’s hand missed him just by a hair.

The tips from the villagers were quite right; the ghost couldn’t climb the tree. It ran around, roared, hit the tree with its hands and body. The tree shook violently.

Ajay held the tree branch as tightly as he could. He was in great fear, combined with the roaring below and the non-stop hitting on the tree by the ghost. He lost his grip very quickly. With one last strike by the ghost, he fell off the tree.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Ajay hit the head of the ghost. Unconsciously, he waved his limbs and tried to hold whatever he touched. He was too freightened to open his eyes. In the end, human instincts helped him get the best position ----his arms held around the ghost’s horns overhead, legs clamped around its belly.

Since coming to this mountain, the ghost only saw people running away from it in fear. It had never got the resistance like this today. It was furious, roaring, and bouncing wildly. But it only made Ajay hold it more tightly.

Suddenly it realized, "Gosh, I have got a powerful enemy. "

Hit by a panic attack, it ran down the mountain like a rock. Still it couldn’t shake off Ajay. Instead, each of its jumps just made Ajay hold it more tightly.

Down to the village they ran together. The villagers saw them. They screamed “ghost is coming” and ran away like crazy. When they looked back, they found themselves looking at something they had ever seen before: Ajay was riding on a ghost. What’s even crazier, the ghost looked in great panic. What happened to Ajay? He closed his eyes, held the horns tight, gave no expression at all.

“Ajay! Whoa~ You are awesome,” shouted his fellow villagers. “You are riding on the ghost like a wizard.”

Ajay heard them. He wanted to laugh and cry all at once. He shouted in his mind, “ I am scared to death at this moment. Now all I wish is to get off of this damn ghost and stay alive.”

Meanwhile, the ghost was thinking, “I thought no one in this world was not afraid of me, let alone riding on my back. Who is this beast? It seems he doesn’t want to get off of me.”

I don't know know how Ajay got off of the ghost in the end. But dear reader, you must agree with me that it's a scene that we come across every day in life.

There are moments when we may not be what we look like. Instead, we might be quite opposite. What looks awesome might be in great panic, what looks powerful might be in fear, what looks like a glorious ride might end up with a man who is desperate to get off of a ghost.
