The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own. It was a man, much older than myself, with sunken eyes and a deep frown etched onto his face. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I had just purchased this antique mirror at an estate sale, thinking it would look perfect in my living room, but now I was regretting my decision.

I stepped closer to the mirror, trying to see if I could catch a glimpse of myself in the reflection, but it was impossible. The man's face was all I could see. As I studied his features, I noticed something odd in the background. It looked like the world behind him was melting away, slowly dripping down the glass like a Salvador Dali painting. It was then that I realized that the mirror was haunted.

I tried to look away, but I couldn't. The man's face was hypnotic, and I was drawn into the reflection, feeling as if I was falling into it. Suddenly, the man's eyes opened wide, and he began to scream, but the sound was muffled, as if coming from underwater. The world behind him began to twist and contort, and I felt myself being pulled closer to the mirror.

I don't know how long I was trapped in the mirror's reflection, but when I finally came to, I was back in my living room, feeling disoriented and frightened. I tried to shake it off, telling myself that it was just a trick of the mind, but deep down, I knew it was real.

Over the next few days, strange things began to happen in my home. Objects would move on their own, and I could hear whispers in the air. It was as if the alternate reality I had seen in the mirror was bleeding into my world.

One night, I was sitting in my living room when I heard a voice call out to me. It was the man from the mirror, and he was asking for my help. At first, I was hesitant, but I couldn't ignore his cries. I approached the mirror, and as I looked into it, I felt myself being pulled back into the alternate reality.

The world on the other side was dark and twisted, with buildings made of bones and rivers of blood. The man was there, waiting for me, and he explained that he had been trapped in the mirror for centuries, and he needed my help to break free.

I didn't know how to help him, but he showed me a way. He instructed me to shatter the mirror, breaking the barrier between our worlds. At first, I was hesitant, but I knew it was the only way to set him free.

I picked up a nearby hammer and swung it at the mirror. The glass shattered, and I felt a rush of cold air as the barrier between our worlds fell away. The man was free, and he thanked me for my help.

But as I stepped back from the shattered mirror, I realized that something had changed. The world around me was different, twisted and dark, just like the world inside the mirror. It was then that I realized that I had made a terrible mistake. The man had tricked me, using me to escape his prison and bring his world into mine.

I tried to run, but it was too late. The alternate reality had already taken over, and I was trapped inside it forever. As I looked around at the twisted landscape, I realized that I was not alone. There were others, trapped just like me, their faces pressed against the glass of their own mirrors, calling out for help.

But it was too late for us. The haunted mirrors had claimed us, and we were trapped in their alternate reality, doomed to spend eternity in a world of darkness and despair.
