Ross gathered the courage and walked through the automatic doorway to the drug mart with every intention of committing theft. It would be his first time as an adult. As a teenager they called it the five-finger discount.

"Sir, do you plan to pay for that?" The manager said. Ross reacted by bolting toward the door where a security guard waited.

"Empty your pockets NOW!" the guard shouted while aiming pepper spray. Ross complied, then busted out the door.

His mom's insurance was exhausted; the cost of her meds, inflated. Is Love a valid reason for a bad choice?
