A pair of lifeless amethyst eyes gazed at the sky above. In its reflection, white feathers were raining from the sky. Dawn had come and with it, its companions. A crow nesting in a nearby tree descended into the ruins of a burnt down mansion, the wall to the bathroom had collapsed, inside a huge jacuzzi sat there full to the brim of frozen ice. The crow pecked at the frozen surface of the water, it pecked and pecked and pecked. Until the frail ice finally cracked. And the lifeless eyes gazing up from beneath finally received sun.

A young boy resurfaced and gasped. His body, already numb to the cold that encased him prevented him from throwing himself out the tub. Like an old wind-up doll, his movements were stiff and robotic as he reached out for the side of the tub. It felt like millennia had passed as he slowly inched his way over. In the end, he failed to pull himself out he settled with propping himself against the sides. His blue lips parted and a small white cloud escaped him.

His mind... was as blank as a sheet of paper, it was as if he had woken up from a peaceful dream only to find himself in a nightmare. And yet, oddly enough he wasn’t scared. The boy closed his eyes and listened.

Through the gaping hole of that bathroom, nature continued. He could hear birds chirping.

Up above the blue sky became brighter, it would seem that even the sun was adamant on reviving him today. Its rays extended in through the hole and its heat melted the icy water and melted the frozen bits on the crown of his head. Unaware, he did not move. He sat still and continued to listen to the sounds of the forest. Seconds ticked by as his memory seeped inside his mind like a tea bag placed in a cup of cold water.

His eyelids fluttered, his body began to sink back into the water as slumber beckoned him. This was it. His senses were dulling.

Suddenly in the distance, a wailing sound interrupted the silence. It grew louder and louder. Sirens? There were footsteps too. Tons. And among them the sound of heels, the sound of heels. How familiar...they were all clapping against the floorboards of the old mansion and crunching over the grass in the forest. Louder and louder, the stampede approach, the sound was like rushing water.

“KEIMA!” A woman’s cry.. Even though the voice was familiar his body was too numb to turn around. That was okay. She came to him, vaulting over into the tub and wading through its cold waters just for him.

She was a gorgeous woman with auburn hair and pinkish brown eyes that grew so wide and glossy at the sight of his pale skin and blue lips. Her hands cupped his cheeks. She was the cold and cool Mayaka Mizurea, a former supermodel and currently the famous fashion designer responsible for the luxury designer brand Bejeweled Cho. He remembered.

She was a mystery to the media and to him as well. She was the woman who never showed a reaction to any of his accomplishments or dilemmas, yet now she had rushed over to him in her four-inch high heels with an expression of indescribable anguish.

She removed the shawl hanging from her shoulders and wrapped it around him teary-eyed, her lips pursed. White hands extended themselves to him and grabbed him on all sides, she intended to carry him like a human burrito. He heard the police offer to take him but it was as if she was deaf. She carried him out into the sun.

His mind was too numb to process it. He had to be dreaming. There was no way that person, his Mother would behave in a manner like this.
