Raka's Adventure in the Dinosaur World
Chapter 1: The Dinosaur Enthusiast

Raka was a ten-year-old boy who absolutely loved dinosaurs. Since he was little, he had been fascinated by these prehistoric creatures. His mother often told him bedtime stories about dinosaurs, and from that moment on, his curiosity only grew. Every time there was a documentary or movie about dinosaurs, he would sit glued to the screen, taking notes on anything he found important in his notebook.
Raka’s room was covered with dinosaur posters. His bookshelves were filled with encyclopedias, adventure novels, and comic books all about dinosaurs. He also had a vast collection of dinosaur toys, ranging from small figurines to plush dinosaurs almost as big as his teddy bear. He even organized his toys according to their time periods: Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous.
One day at school, his science teacher, Mr. Budi, assigned the class a project on extinct animals. Each student had to write an essay about one extinct species. Raka was thrilled and immediately chose Spinosaurus, the largest carnivorous dinosaur ever. He eagerly spent time in the library researching more about it. Some of his classmates teased him for being so obsessed with dinosaurs, but Raka didn’t care. To him, dinosaurs were a world of their own.
On weekends, Raka often visited the natural history museum with his father. He loved looking at real dinosaur fossils, especially the giant T-Rex skeleton standing proudly in the main exhibition hall. “Imagine if we could see them alive,” he once murmured while staring at the massive skull. His father simply smiled and ruffled his hair. “Maybe one day you’ll become a scientist and discover something amazing about them.”
But for Raka, reading about dinosaurs wasn’t enough. He wanted to experience what it was like to live in their time. His desire only grew stronger after reading about a scientist who theorized that there might be dimensions or time periods where one could see the past. Though it was just a theory, Raka found it incredibly fascinating.
One afternoon, while playing in his backyard, he found an old map hidden among a pile of dusty books in the storage room. The map was old and tattered, with strange markings indicating various locations around his house. One of the marked spots was near the small forest behind his home. Raka’s curiosity was piqued. He had never explored that forest before because his parents had forbidden him, but now he couldn’t ignore the mystery.
The next day, Raka pretended to go out to play as usual, but he secretly brought the map and made his way to the forest. As he ventured deeper, the atmosphere changed. The air felt colder, and the sounds of birds gradually faded. He shivered but pressed on. After about fifteen minutes of walking, he stumbled upon something astonishing: a cave hidden behind thick bushes.
The cave wasn’t very big, but it was large enough for a child to enter. Its walls were covered in green moss, and strange symbols were carved into the stone. Raka swallowed hard. There was something special about this cave, something that felt important.
Without hesitation, he stepped inside, his heart pounding. The deeper he went, the more he felt a strange warmth surrounding him. And in the center of the cave, he saw something he would never forget: a swirling blue light, like a vortex suspended in mid-air.
Raka’s eyes widened. He recalled something he had read about portals to other dimensions. Could this be a gateway to the past? Or was it just a natural phenomenon beyond explanation?
His heart raced. He could run away and forget about all of this. But deep down, he knew—this was the adventure he had always dreamed of. Taking a slow step forward, he reached out his hand, and…
Suddenly, everything went dark.
