“Shhhh,” hissed Carolyn. “I see her, she’s at her locker.”

“Oh my god,” whispered Liv “I’m gonna throw up.”

“Shut up, you’re gonna be fine,” Carolyn replied rolling her eyes at her friend. “Just follow the plan!”

“No, wait!” gasped Liv reaching for Carolyn’s arm, but she was already jogging over to Lily.

“Hi, Lily!” Carolyn said, watching her struggling to adjust her alligator clip in the small, locker mirror. “Do you want some help?” Carolyn offered.

“That would be great, thank you,” said Lily.

“Okay, turn around,” Carolyn spun Lily away from her locker taking the clip from her hand. As she was twisting Lily’s hair into a coil, Carolyn grabbed her favorite pen out of the locker and tucked it in her back pocket.

“Perfection!” squealed Carolyn.

“Thank you so much, I’ll see you in class later, yeah?” Asked Lily shutting her locker.

“For sure, later!” replied Carolyn as both girls walked away.

“I told you it would be easy,” smirked Carolyn as she handed the pen to Liv. “Go into you next class, drop the pen on her desk and keep walking.”

Liv nodded, still thinking about Carolyn fixing Lily’s hair and wishing it had been her.

  • Awww, she wished it was her instead of Carolyn. I would have felt the same too but too scared to actually do it at the same time. Loved your story! I've subscribed to you!
