Phantoms of giggling wait

Giggling wait

Phantoms of giggling wait,

Where we once had a place.

Your name, a murmur in the breeze,

A shadow on the sunlit way

The unfilled seat next to me,

A steadily throbbing result.

I counted the stars to relax.

Everyone wants your face,

However, every light that glimmered out,

Left obscurity where it had a spot.

Your touch is a ghost on my skin,

A memory too profound to even consider blurring,

The glow we shared, the presently harsh virus,

An obligation of affection is neglected and double-crossed.

The world goes on at its consistent speed,

Unflinching by hearts that break and drain,

While I, a phantom inside its wake,

I am spooky about what used to be.

Still, I'll gather the shattered pieces,

In addition, plan dreams from betrayed trust,

for tomorrow finds the will to change in the scars of yesterday.

Thus, I stand here, complete yet alone.

With the beautiful resonance of affection in my soul,

sadness will undoubtedly eventually cloud,

And the brightness of New Love will come into the shade.
