Operation Savior

We had been living in the ashes of the end of the world. The land was burned, the animals hunted. Every last one of them, for the survival of humanity the animals slowly became scarce. People fought for every last scrap of meat they could find and when there was none… well lets just say things definitely went downhill from there. Just when we thought things couldnt get any worse, there she was just lying there right in front of our very eyes. The savior and our best friend.

She had been locked in a lab.. most likely to be studied like a rat.. When the world fell to the virus a handful of us had been immune. We had developed a connection to the earth and each other. We had tapped into the unexplainable. Gehnny was the most gifted of us all and sought by the government as our only hope. They called it Operation Savior.

When we found her she was in a clear coffin filled with smoke and ice. Like a piece of seafood waiting to be served. We had to wake her up.

"Kim do you know how to open this thing?" Blake yelled out in a panic. Kim looked at him as though he was asking her to solve an unsolvable riddle.

"I don't know, but I won't stop until I get her out of there." She closed her eyes and centered herself. It wasn't as if their survival depended on it right.

Synapses firing.

Nerve endings bursting with electromagnetic energy.

Vibrating to the point of overconducting electricity.

Unlock.

She had done it. She had unleashed the power again and this time to free the savior.

"I'M ALIVE!" Gehnny screamed as her muscles stood at attention. She came back to life before our very eyes.

“What happened? Where am i?” she gulped hard waiting for Kim's reply.

“Well Gehnny we found your body stored in this cryogenic lab underground…" she struggled to get out the words. "It's 2044 and we have been looking for you for 5 years.

Gehnny clutched her locket tightly grasping for it as if she was grasping for her own life. She was utterly perplexed and confused. Her thoughts racing faster by the second. "How could I have been gone for so long? They took 5 years of my life." She cried in agony thinking of her friends alone and abandoned for so long.

" The last thing I remember is a bunch of military guys driving up in this creepy black van and grabbing me. They put something over my head and I have no idea what happened next. They must have drugged me." She used every last bit of energy she had in her and fainted. Looking like sleeping beauty waiting for prince charming to come and rescue her from this nightmare.

Time marched on after Gehnny disappeared. We presumed the Vultures had gotten to her- thats what we called them. They were the worst of the worst. Their mission statement was simple- take no prisioners and survival at all costs. They followed no rules and everything was up for grabs.They rounded up all the women and took them as possessions. They were simply property to be used and traded as currency in the new world. We called it Pandora. Once the box was opened at the end of the world- she released her chaos onto us.

But now Gehnny was back with us. Now we could finally try to resolve this apocalypse that was our lives. Surely she had the answers we were looking for right?

The exhaustion of her return lulled everyone to sleep as though they were in a poppy field. When sleep came Gehnny appeared again, but this time in a dream. She said "I am here to help you return to your rightful place. Where you truly belong. I have come here to bring you all home. Your time here on earth has come to an end."

As we awoke she opened the heart shaped locket that she had been grasping so tightly to. She explained, "this locket contains my essence and ties me to this body. It is very simple. To go home- say these words with me- ang sung wahe guru.” As they finished the mantra the locket opened and the light of a thousand suns shined through us all. And with that we slipped away from our physical form and returned to the ether in which Ghenny returned.
