One Husband with Two Wives
A funny story of justice and divine direction

A long time ago, a man was married twice in a small town. Fate dealt a strange hand, causing both wives to die at the same time. This man had a strong sense of justice and wanted to treat both wives equally, even after they died.
For the sake of his vision, he made plans for both of his wives to be bathed simultaneously. It was just a chance that there was just one door, to begin with! However, to keep justice in all aspects of both his wife’s funerals, he had to make a second door.
With two doors open, the man was able to carry out his plan and bury both wives at the same time. He was thankful for what he thought was divine direction and thanked Allah for letting him do what was right.
The man had a strange dream one night. When his first wife saw him, she was angry and told him, “I am angry with you; Allah will not forgive you.” So confused, he asked, “Why?” “You kicked out the second wife through a new door and kept me with the old one,” the wife said funnily.
This fair and funny story shows that even the best-laid plans can go wrong.
