"Jayla!" Raged footsteps followed, "Do you any idea what you've done?!"

Jayla did not move from where she leaned back in the captain's quarters, feet propped and crossed atop the cluttered desk. The broken dagger remaining in palm, picking at her nails, as the door crashed back.

Jayla scarcely looked up to the fuming, old Captain Borus. Death had been bargaining with Borus for a century- it was time it won. To Jayla's dissappointment, it would not be today.

"Jayla," Borus growled, eying her bloody clothes. "We might've had peace! You've incited a war!"

"Oh?" She leaned forward, "How exciting."
