Every Part of a Story is Important. But nothing is as Captivating as the Opening Scene. The first scene is vital to your own interests. It can either draw you in or be a total turn off. Simultaneously for me; the opening scene is like that joy of waking up in a beach resort with the ocean seaside view of a shoreline. This scenery has always been my adrenaline fix. Like a Folgers breeze in the midst of sunrise, I enjoy soaking in every glimpse and beauty of this magical scenery. Besides the fact that I also enjoy taking long walks along the sea-shore, this is what I considered my go to happy place whenever I am in dire need to rest my mind, body, and spirit.

As I approach the ocean shore and swift my feet slowly on the pearly white beach sand, everything becomes at a standstill. It’s like an outer-body experience. Immediately the beach Sand gently hits the sole/palm of your feet, your hair also tends to whisk away softly from the back of your shoulders. It’s like a magic reflex, with a strand of hair constantly rubbing against the back of your earlobes. It is at this very moment that I find myself in awe of the ocean beauty, as my eyes slowly close just to soak it all in. As the taste of the ocean breeze simmers in, I inhale deeply then exhale gently just to lather the taste.

The taste of mid summers eve comes to mind as your body begins to tremble and shiver from the fresh breeze. There is a sweet aroma created by these ocean waves. They hit the beach sand in a systematic rhythm, similar to that of the sound of music. The ocean waves tune is soothing, relaxing and intriguing all at once. The air gives way; as your hair slithers gently off your shoulders and begins to be fully wind-blown to the rhythm of your footsteps. The world seems to be at a standstill once again as the cool breeze whisks you away into lala-Land. You are now completely mesmerized with God’s creation.

Unbeknownst to you, you fail to notice that the beach sand is in fact hot, being that it's summertime. Your mind is at ease, and your body is relaxed, as your heart trembles at the touch of every ray of sunlight. The ocean waves continuously gush the ocean water along the shoreline and the feeling is bitter-sweet. As the water-waves pushes slightly enough just to touch the palm of your feet then withers away drastically. The sensation of being cooled down just enough to still bask in the hot sun. Or that feeling of being sprinkled by cold water mist from a sprinkler on a mid-summer afternoon. Nevertheless; you manage to escape the hot heat waves just by being mesmerized and captivated by the scenery.

You walk along the shoreline barefooted in the hot beach sand without feeling the burn. As you wind up to the resort's pathway sidewalk, you can’t help but reminisce about the cool ocean breeze. You stroll along the shoreline back to your starting point hoping to musk each moment with every footstep. You soon make your way to the end zone of this resort beach-trail and can’t help but re-live these moments. Your heart wants more, but reality quickly sinks in. This book does just that. It gives you that adrenaline with a constant fixation on a roller coaster of emotions. From laughter, to sorrow, to pain, and acceptance; “Memoirs of A Dutiful daughter by Pamela Mburo” is highly essential to one’s emotional balance and/or wellbeing. Dive into the unknown and Devour this tasteful storybook. You too should enjoy a breathtaking great Ocean Breeze, with a hint of sunlight.
