A long time ago, in the ancient forest kingdom, there was a legendary story about Namie the little elephant. All the animals in the forest were proud of him. Because the little elephant nano sacrificed himself to save everyone.

As an orphan, the little elephant was taken care of by his neighbors every day when he was a child. At that time, the forest was full of sunshine, the animals loved each other, harmonious. Wherever the sun shone, there was the laughter of animals.

The baby elephant grew up and went to school outside his hometown. By the time he returned, everything had changed. The earth was cracked beyond recognition, dry gullies were all over the place, the evergreen pine trees were withered and drooping, and the once green forest had turned into a burnt yellow color, and everyone was running around.

Namie stopped the antelope who was running in a hurry: "Auntie Antelope, what's going on? What's happening in the forest?"

"Name, don't you know yet? A big drought has hit our home. We can't die of thirst here. Come with us and run away." The antelope aunt kindly persuaded Nami.

Suddenly, there was an argument in the distance: "This is mine, get out of my way!" "You're right, I found it first!"

The little elephant Nanos walked over and found that it was the orangutan and the bear fighting over a small puddle that was about to dry up. The orangutan was so anxious that he was patting his chest, and the bear was unfazed, showing his teeth and eyes in anger. Neither one of them would let the other, and finally, they just fought. Other animals saw, a swarm, scrambling to grab that poor little bit of water, you push me, I push you, fighting all over the body.

The little elephant nano froze, this is still the old love each other, play together with the small partners? Bears and orangutans used to be the best friends in the forest, but now they have become this way because of a little water. He could not stand it anymore and roared to the sky.

Everyone stopped fighting and looked at the little elephant in surprise.

Namie looked at everyone, thought about it, and said, "Why can't we dig a well by ourselves?"

"We are dying of thirst, where is the strength to dig a well?"

"Dig your well for others to drink? I'm not that stupid!"

Once again, Nami froze, realizing that his little friend who used to think of others in every way had changed and that any words were futile. He stopped talking, lowered his head, and used his long tusks to dig up hard in the hard ground. Once, twice, three times ...... the ground was unbelievably hard, leaving only a little shallow trace, and his tusks seemed useless. The other animals scoffed and said, "Don't waste your energy, Nano, it's no use."

Ignoring the ridicule, Nami just buried his head and repeated the action of digging the well with force, one after another. His teeth were worn to cracks, blood spilled from his mouth, and sweat flowed like rain on his body. But he persisted in digging down.

The animals in the distance were silent, watching the little elephant in silence.

Ten, twenty, a hundred ...... finally, the little elephant nano-digging out of a deep pit, but he also exhausted his strength, and the action slowed down. Long elephant trunk full of dirt and blood, an elephant tusk broken, like a pillar of limbs also began to tremble.

Everyone was moved! The baboon said, "The little elephant is digging the well so desperately for all of us, are we just going to stand by and watch? Let's all go together!"

The animals came up to help the elephant dig the well.

The little elephant nanometer finally could not support, looking at everyone together again, smiled and fell, never got up.

Mother Earth finally shed tears, and a spring of water came up.

Everyone held the first spring water and poured it on Namie, but he would never wake up. We all repented deeply, how great the little elephant is, without regard for his own life, only for everyone to have water to drink. We, on the other hand, are so selfish as you fight for it. If we could have helped him earlier, he wouldn't have sacrificed. We should build a monument for him.

After the drought, people protected the well. A monument was erected. It read: Little Elephant Well.

The forest came back to life and green, the earth began to heal, rivers were flowing, flowers and trees flourished, and the animals loved each other again and were friendly. Unfortunately, there is no more little elephant, but he will always live in the hearts of everyone.
