Movie review: The little mermaid

Everyone in the audience, no matter their age, will be captivated by "The Little Mermaid," which is an exciting and endearing retelling of the traditional fairytale. The director of the movie, Lillian Waters, has done a fantastic job of creating an underwater fantasy world that immediately immerses spectators into the story from the very first scene. Ariel, the main character, was played excellently by Emma Ocean, a person who was relatively unknown at the time. Her innocent curiosity and naivety perfectly embody the spirit of the tiny mermaid, who longs to see the world above the seas. Emma Ocean does an excellent job of conveying Ariel's determination and strength, which makes her performance not only charming but also motivational.

Matthew Rivers, who won an Academy Award for his performance as Prince Eric, provides a nice contrast to the character of Ocean. Rivers' captivating and sincere portrayal brings a new level of sophistication to the part of a prince torn between his responsibilities and his feelings for a woman who truly loves him. Both Ocean and Rivers have great chemistry on film, which makes it a joy to watch them interact with one another.
