Mom's Super Important Job

Once upon a time, there was this mother who was able to choose to be a stay-at-home mother to her little children. Some relatives and friends would call her one day and quiz her, saying, “So, you don’t have any workplace? What will you do the whole day?”

They didn't quite understand. This was a big job for this mom!!! In that environment, it was like being a teacher, a cook, a cleaner, and a caregiver all in one.

Picture yourself trying to wash a house teeming with clutter every single day; they had a pick-up-sticks game going on all day. You also have to prepare the meals, the dishes that accumulate after meals, and clothes that never run out.

But the most fulfilling part of her responsibilities was in child care, especially with the little ones. They require her all day and all night just to cuddle them, to answer their questions, or even without them having a reason.

She was their teacher and was so kind playing with them and helping them understand something new.

This was not a post for a person seeking quiet and undisturbed employment with no or little interaction with other people. It was a job that called for a lot of love, patience most importantly energy. At times it was tough, but it was so relevant to achieve.

This mom was right by their side for a total of three years without missing a single moment for them. She received no salary, but all the hugs and affection that she received in return were the best things that one could ever receive.

Therefore, next time you catch sight of a stay-at-home mom, just remind yourself that she’s doing a super important job, and therefore she should be clapped for!
