A Poem About You - Because, Isn't Everything?

the "do not disturb" sign

should have meant something

but your smile, benign

I guess I

should've seen you coming

stepping into the mud

crossing lines being drawn

with a wink and a nod

you do whatever you want

always in control

you sway the decision

dig in deep, like a mole

never asking permission

never ask for forgiveness

because you can never be wrong

your accidents are on purpose

same ol' dance and song

but this time is different

you've crossed the wrong line

hard to play off being innocent

standing there, like a mime

what you've seen was a secret

held by someone who don't play

his patience, infrequent

and now, you're in his way

.....the flash of his steel

and in the blink of an eye

everything's become real

it does no good to cry

you've chosen your path

made your bed, as they say

imagining the aftermath

as your chances loom gray

now somewhere all alone

your whole body is tingling

in your dream is a phone

and it never stops ringing

RiNgInG, RiNgInG, RiNgInG....

just look what you've done

look where your nosiness got you

look what he did (for fun)

everything you made him do

with all of your snooping

and all of your .....

now there is no escaping

tied like a gift in that chair

and that damn phone keeps ringing

tied to the wall with a cord

this is only the beginning

it's clear he's done this before

and you opened that door

just had to see what's inside

and what was it for

what happened to all of that pride

that you wore on your chest

it lined all of your sleeves

just to prove you were the best

at least, better than me

but now you're like the others

that he sat in that chair

I heard he sent a note to your mother

the whole press-core was there

to catch the exact moment

that look of shock in her eyes

when she'd finally learned that

captured the shock and surprise

though nobody said it outloud

it seems you got what you get

always standing out in the crowd

and into everyone's shit

it was bound to happen

and boy how they fall

stirring everyone's crap

the writing was on the wall

now the posters read; MISSING

and everyone knows your face

in places you shouldn't have been messing

and it seems now, that you've been erased
