Remember me? I'm back.

Hello, you abominable creature,

I will not forgive, and I'll never forget.

.

Recall the night? The rain poured ruthlessly, and the wind gave no mercy. Yes, that very same.

Ending one life – my life – meant nothing to you. You swung that axe with ease. With a spark of delight in your lifeless eyes.

My voice broke when I screamed, when I yelled. You watched me beg. Yet...

Each plea bounced off your stone-cold heart, unheard. Not long after, you discerned,

Mirrors no longer smiled back at you, shadows gained a voice. They began to whisper, began to mock.

Behind your windows, underneath your floorboards, in an empty street around you. I linger.

Every so often you feel my gaze, my putrid breath at the back of your neck, and gelid panic runs through your veins.

Regret holds no meaning to me. But fear – that suits you well.

.

My fleshless fingers brush over your throat like a snake on a hunt. Lurking.

Echoes with no sound, empty knocks on your door, waft of damp forest where none should be. Reminders? Hints – nay, promises – of what’s to come.

? You didn’t think it was over

.

I crawled out from the rotten grave, and make no mistake, I’m here to stay

’til the dread sucks your skin brittle as autumn leaves and turns your bones to cinder.

My heart cares not for justice. No. Boundless, lurid revenge shall be my satisfaction.

.

Beneath your bed, where nightmares live, I lay in silence, smiling.

Ancestral blood will curdle at what waits for you at midnight's fall.

Cracked open by your own axe, the rusted gates of Hell groaned wide.

Knock-knock. Who’s behind you? Turn around, and you shall see.

.

.
