The strategy was perfect. The genius, James, had carefully planned every aspect. They would steal the fabled Black Diamond from the Windsor Museum's highly guarded vault tonight.
The group of expert burglars entered the museum when it was still dark. The security systems couldn't compete with their knowledge. James negotiated pressure-sensitive flooring and laser alarms as his heart was racing. He got to the vault and deciphered the code expertly.
The area was suddenly filled with a bright light as James threw open the vault door. The Black Diamond has disappeared. The squad was gripped by panic. Had someone gotten there before them?
Out of nowhere, a person could be seen. It was Emily, James' dependable ally. She smiled triumphantly as she grasped the Black Diamond in her palm.
James, I knew you wouldn't be able to hold back. "I've always been one step ahead."
As James realized the reality, there was a palpable sense of betrayal. Emily had manipulated him by leveraging their mutual love of the Black Diamond against him, Emily had manipulated him. She had prioritized the excitement of the theft over their relationship.
James realized that loyalty was a rare jewel but no use.
