MHOS Part 38: Gathering documents & other things

I wake up to a clean kitchen with clean dishes in the dish rack, including my jar, which I grab and slide in my pocket. I grab the rice disks and put them in the freezer and grab two breakfast cubes out of the freezer. I make a pot of coffee and go back upstairs to check on Husk who is just starting to wake up.

"Good morning." I say as I sit down on the bed beside him. "How are you feeling after your mud bath?" I ask. Husk starts rotating his arms, his rib cage, he slides his hands along himself and says "Fucking amazing!" And he pulls me in for a kiss. I return his kiss and tell him that breakfast is cooking and coffee is making and make my way back downstairs so he can get ready for the day.

Husk asks "Where are you going searching today?" As he comes down the stairs. "Wrath Lake" I reply. Husk stops at the bottom of the stairs "You're not going back to that club are you?" He asks with concern in his eyes. I smile and say "No I am just searching the lake, nothing more. I want this deal done, and the sooner I search all the lakes, the sooner that happens." He grabs 2 cups for coffee and grabs the milk & sugar for mine.

I grab eggs and cheese out of the fridge and scramble some eggs up for the potatoes and grate some cheese as I let the eggs cook in the nearly ready breakfast. Husk hands me my coffee and takes over the breakfast, stirring the eggs, sprinkling the cheese, letting it melt and serving it on 2 plates. I thank him for my breakfast, he thanks me for the meal prepping and we eat as we rub legs under the table.

"I don't have to worry about you do I?" Husk asks. I chuckle and reply "I can handle myself. Bare knuckle fighting is just a way to blow off steam." I finish up my breakfast. "I have to go though, I want to sort out what you gathered for me last night and see what I'm working with today before I head out to Wrath Lake. Can you take care of this for me please?" I hand Husk the plate, empty the basket into my purse and exit the house as Husk chuckles, admiring my ambition.

I get in the car and start sorting through the hand written papers looking for addresses and recognize two of them as neighborhoods I patrolled Lust & found that club named Consent.. I head off to see if I can figure out where they are and it doesn't take long to find the first building. I park Gary on the road and walk past a nice car.. very nice car.. I rummage through the keys testing every single one until one of them unlocks the front door.

I get inside, lock the door behind me and name the keys I can identify "Front door, Car, Trunk, Garage, what's this 5th one?" I walk over to the mail pile and start searching names.. just one. They lived alone. Time to search for the lock that fits this key. I wander the house, it's nice, but simple, no decor, no warm touches, definitely a man's home. It doesn't take me long to find a safe. I slide the key in the hole Jackpot it fits like a glove. I unlock the safe and grab everything in it. The deed to the house, the papers to the car, a box full of cash, and a will. I open up the will to see who their loved ones are to prepare for revenge. I rip the envelope open and it's a paper that simply says "Fuck all of you"

Nice.

I take everything in the safe and it fits perfectly in my messenger bag. "I need to research real estate laws in hell if I'm going to keep commandeering peoples houses after I kill them." I etch the address of the home on the key with my talon and grab a carabineer and hang the keys off my belt separating them from the unknown keys and look at the time. I have enough time to drop this stuff off at Gary's and then head over to Wrath Lake to meet up with Alastor.

I head over to the kitchen and dig through the fridge. I grab a beer and some sandwich stuff and think.. Wait, he's not going to need this stuff anymore. And as I eat my sandwich and drink my beer, I pack up everything I would eat, Peaches would eat, Husk would eat, and pack them up as I finish up my food. As I drink the last of the beer I wander through the house for anything else I might like and I spot a bow tie. I smile deeply and grab it and tie my hair in a messy bun with it. I walk back to the front and start filling Gary's trunk until it's packed full.

I'm closer to Husk's place, but I drive past and head straight to Peaches place instead. As I pull up Peaches walks out the front door happy to see me. She joins me at the trunk and I hand her a bag of food as I grab a box of trinkets that reminded me of her as I was perusing through the house. Beautiful and deadly weapons that had Pearl white handles that match her glowing eyes and some bedding and other trinkets that looked like it would match her decor. She walks into the kitchen and starts putting the food not questioning where it was from, as I started putting the decorations around her home. I grabbed the bedding and put it in the wash and walked up to her and said "Where do you want these?" and I open up the box of assorted blades with pearl while handles and here eyes light up.

"In my bedroom!" she squeals as she grabs the dagger and unsheathes it to examine it. I follow her upstairs and she starts sizing up a thin bright fuchsia wall with no decor on it yet. I help her set them. "Beautiful" I say. The white pops against the pink and the silver of the blades glistens in the lights. "Beautiful and deadly, just like you are" I say as I kiss the top of her head.

"Can you stay" she says with passion in her voice. I kiss her back and say "I have food in the trunk, but I'll come back early tonight." I kiss her again "I just needed to start my day off with you." She giggles and says "And a beer apparently." I chuckle back "He's dead, he's not going to drink them, and I had a home to search." Peaches giggles "Good point, waste not want not." I kiss her on the nose "Now you get it, I'll see you tonight." I say as I go to drop the duffle bag contents and my things off over at Gary's, passing Husks one more time.

I get home and unpack my food first as I grab a bag of chips while I decorate my home with the pretty things I took from the house. When that is done I grab the important documents and put them in my bedroom closet in a white box with a purple lid and slide it between the bedding for safe keeping for now. I double check that my messenger bag is empty and head back out to drop off Husks things again. Last stop before working for Alastor.

I walk in with a bag of groceries and Husk face lights up "You're back!" I kiss his cheek as I walk past him to the kitchen "Just to put some stuff away, then I head to work." Husk joins me in the kitchen unpacking the food beside me saying "I'll take what I can get while I can get it." and hugs my waist, kissing my temple brushing his lips against the tie in my hair and he pulls back to look at it. He says "The hair looks good" I look up at him and pulling his black tie with a red heart, a red diamond, a black club & black spade on it, sliding it off from around his neck saying "I thought so too" as the tie lands in my hand and I slide it into the counter.

Husk leans me against the counter deepening the kiss with his hands on my waist. I lift my hands up and start untying the messy bun in my hair and Husks hands slide up wrapping themselves in my hair and he feels me tugging at his neck. He goes to slide my skirt up, when I stop him and look down at the tie on his neck and say "Perfect" I say as I straighten out Husks tie. "And it's been in my hair all morning, so you'll be carrying my scent with you all day long."

Husk tries to sit me on the counter when I slide out from his arms and tap my finger on my watch as I kiss him on the cheek. I tie my hair up with his tie that just happens to match the first one I stole from him perfectly, and I head on out to Wrath Lake to meet up with Alastor.
