One evening last week, a friend and I were having dinner near Xidan. During the dinner, we talked loudly, pointed out the country, zang people, say will Wang Xiaobo, Yu Jie, Haruki Murakami, Orhan Pamuk, chat very enjoyable. About 9 o 'clock, we just got up to check out, go home. Before I set foot on the subway, I suddenly saw a newsstand that had not closed and walked over. It's about 11 stops from Xidan to Sihuidong. It takes more than 30 minutes. I have to buy something to amuse myself.
My eyes swept from Scientific American to The Translation Forest, and then from The Movie to the Sanlian Culture Weekly. I strolled back and forth for five or six minutes, still wavering, until the stall owner impatiently said to close the stall, I urged myself to make up my mind, grabbed a copy of the Reader from the stall, and hurried away. On the subway, I read The Reader with gusto, ignoring the magazine's misdeeds that I had mocked every chance I got. "Readers" kill time is very good, I opened the title page when waiting for the subway in Xidan, saw the joke column after the middle seam in Jianguomen, and then Sihuidong subway stopped the moment, I just finished scanning the back cover advertising.
Although I shoved the Reader into the trash can as soon as I got out of the car and headed off, I have to admit that I had enjoyed the last 30 minutes, with my little Bourgeois stories and chicken soup for the soul giving me a mild, middle-class hangover.
I went to Sanlian Bookstore last week and used my Accor card to buy a lot of expensive books that I had been wanting for a long time. For example, Wang Mingsheng's Discussion on the Seventeenth History, Zhang Yan's Review of Ancient Literature, Yang Kuan's History of the Ancient Chinese Capital System, Little Red Riding Hood -- The Three Hundred Years of Evolution of a Fairy Tale, and several pamphlets of the "Little Books for Everyone" series. It's a pleasure to buy a new book, especially after buying so many cultural books that seem to be deep and informative, you feel that people are looking at you with a little more deference. I went home excitedly with these books in my hands, and put them on the shelf one by one, trying to figure out which books I would need to write later; Which books will be used to brag later; Which books can increase their own learning and knowledge.
In the middle of the calculation, I suddenly felt something in my stomach. The grains were reincarnated and the mountains and rain were about to come. My sight flew over these new connotation of the book, pulled out a robotic cat, hurried into the toilet...
Things like this actually happen all the time. For example, when I go to see a modern art exhibition, I find that the paintings I really enjoy for more than two minutes are all paintings of nude women. Bought a lot of classic DVDS, finally picked out and put into the DVD player only "Planet of Terror" and "Ratatouille", see the hero is actually chef Guster's bastard son, also moved a mess; I filled my PSP with over 300 ancient texts and just played Splinter Cell -- even after I occasionally downloaded a Pokmon-like JAVA game on my phone the day before yesterday, I stopped playing the PSP and kept pressing the phone button on the bus and subway, like a real bored office worker.
I once saw a scene in Little Britannia where one of the leading men goes to dinner at a fancy French restaurant and says to the gray-haired old waiter, "I'll have a grande McSpicy burger." It makes me feel kind.
When I told my friends about this discovery, they all said they had similar experiences. Some people plan a yoga workout and then sleep at home for two days on weekends. Others buy fancy manual coffee grinders, then put them in front of the rest and continue drinking instant partners. Finally, we groaned and tried to elevate this discovery to a philosophical level, to extract some spiritual insight and to take ourselves to a higher level.
But that effort failed shamefully, and we discovered that this was a very widespread disease.
In simple terms, hypochondria syndrome is a disease in which we strive to be elegant, to be noble, to rise above vulgar tastes, only to reveal our earthly nature when we least expect it. We tried to sing to the tune of Yangchun Snow, but all we could think about was Yangchun noodles and Snow White.
Generally, this disease is divided into two stages: the first stage is that you discover the "superego", which reflects the real society, is that you buy a XD KS-16608L; The second stage is when you discover the ID and listen to Two Butterflies on it every night.
In fact, think carefully, this disease or life state is very good, one can satisfy their vanity; Second, it doesn't really hurt you. You know, it's more difficult to force a vulgar person to be vulgar than a vulgar person to force a vulgar person to be vulgar. After all, not everyone can advance and retreat like Guo Moruo and write Phoenix Nirvana and Curse Sparrow.
Grammatically, one should have abstracted at the end of the essay, but it had failed, and it was unlikely to succeed now. So I'll end with a sweet little philosophical story.
I have a friend R. Once, a group of us went to see a play. I got there early. The play hadn't opened yet. Bored, we went to a nearby bookstore to hang out. Occasionally, I caught A glimpse of some books about Buddhism on one of the shelves. Suddenly, I had a sudden onset of reba syndrome. So I frowned slightly and said in a relaxed and serene tone, "I have been so busy with worldly affairs recently that I suddenly want to see the spirit of Zen Buddhism and let my mind empty.
Y ignored me. I looked down and saw R squatting on the ground, intently holding a large book from the corner of the shelf.
"What are you looking at?"
A held the book up, and the first thing I saw was Y's happy expression, and then the large font on the cover: "Cixi Beauty Secrets."
R's sincerity and frankness are like the sunshine in the early spring. I see my mask of hypocrisy begin to melt with shame. Shocked, I threw down Nan Huaijin, Nan Huairen and Huineng, and pulled out a copy of "The Curious Man Yang Xiaoxie" without affectiveness.
