Lost in her Shadow
"When Love blurs the lines between identity and obsession".

The first time George saw Mia, she was standing under the flickering streetlamp outside his window. The rain had soaked through her white dress, her dark hair clinging to her face. But she wasn’t shivering. She wasn’t even blinking. She just stood there, gazing up at his window, as if waiting.
Then she vanished.
George barely had time to process it before his phone vibrated on the nightstand. A message from an unknown number: “Find me before I disappear again.”
He ran to the window. The street was empty.
A Love That Shouldn’t Exist
George wasn’t crazy. At least, that’s what he told himself every time he saw her. Sometimes at the coffee shop across the street, sometimes in the reflection of a store window. Never close enough to touch, never long enough to speak. She was always there and gone in a blink.
At first, he tried to ignore it. But then the messages started coming more frequently.
“You’re the only one who can see me.” “They’re trying to erase me.” “Find me before they do.”
He started digging. But there was no record of Mia anywhere. No social media, no missing person reports. As if she had never existed. And yet, every time he thought about giving up, he’d catch another glimpse of her. The warm, knowing smile. The way she always looked at him like she had known him forever.
He needed answers. And the only way to get them was to find her.
The House That Holds the Truth
His search led him to the outskirts of the city, to a house no one seemed to remember. Isolated, forgotten, yet strangely familiar.
The moment he stepped inside, he felt it — memories he didn’t know he had, whispering through the air.
Mia’s scent. Mia’s laughter. Mia’s fear.
A diary lay open on the dusty table, the pages filled with his name. And then, the final words:
“If you’ve found this, it means they got to me first. But it’s not too late. You can still bring me back.”
A Battle Between Reality and Delusion
The walls blurred. Shadows stretched unnaturally. A figure moved in the corner of his eye.
A voice, soft and pleading. “George… wake up.”
And suddenly, he remembered everything.
Mia wasn’t just a mystery. She was his past, his love, his unfinished story. She had been real once. And she could be real again — if he was willing to fight for her.
The question was: Was he strong enough to pull her back from the edge of nothingness?
Or was he the one who was disappearing all along?
