Chris sits in his car parked outside of the Le Marie Café. His heart was racing and he was very nervous. Oh boy, how is this gonna play out? Chris’ thought to himself. On one hand she could say yes and I’ll be as happy as my brother with French fries, on the other hand she could say no and I’ll be stuck looking like the biggest idiot on the planet. Suddenly Chris’ phone started to vibrate. It was a text message from his girlfriend Harmony. “I’m 5 mins away” the message read. At the site of this Chris undid his seatbelt and got out of his car.

As Chris made his way into the coffee shop he made note of everyone in view. The first group of people he noticed was two couples who sat at two tables outside the shop talking and drinking cappuccinos together. It made him think a lot about how he did this with Harmony and the rest of their friends every week and how he wanted this to continue for the rest of their lives. As Chris entered the coffee shop he walked straight to the back and grabbed a window seat. He wanted to see the moment that Harmony arrived.

When Chris sat down his nervousness started to subside. He then pulled a small ring out of his pocket. Everything’s gonna be okay, he thought to himself. We’ve been down for each other since high school and that girl loves me to death. What’s the worse that could happen? She says no? If she does that doesn’t mean she doesn’t love me. Best case scenario, she says yes and we’ll live happily ever after. Then again I might end up like one of those old ladies who has like 100 cats and no mate, he joked to himself.

Chris’ train of thought was suddenly interrupted when he looked out the window and saw Harmony’s blue Kia pull into the parking lot. As she got out of the car and made her way inside Chris’ heart started racing again. In the words of Kel Mitchell, Ahhh here it goes, Chris thought jokingly. Harmony came in and walked straight back to Chris’ table. She greeted him with a smile. Hey, sorry I’m late. The world’s busiest taco truck broke down in the middle of the road and caused a frenzy for everyone tryna drive around it. Oh you’re fine, Chris added.

So how’s your day been? Harmony asked. Well it’s been kinda nervous racking, Chris chuckled nervously. Why so? Harmony asked curiously. Because I have to ask you the most important thing I’ll ever ask you, Chris continued. Harm, Chris began anxiously. We’ve been together for a long time and you-, yes, Harmony interrupted. Yes? Chris asked. Yes, I would love to be your wife, Harmony continued. Chris was overwhelmed with joy. He pulled out his engagement ring and slid it on her finger as they shared a kiss.
