Last call and another forty dollars to work toward a dreamless night with an unbecoming and beleaguered but welcome sleep.

“Good to see you again Cole.”

“Good to be seen Dell,” Cole sipped his Buffalo Trace, noting a slight sting on his tongue. “Crazy thing tonight.”

“Leo hitting Eddie?”

“No, Eddie runs his mouth. No need for violence, but still…no, the urinal flushed. Did Eddie fix it?”

“You know he wouldn’t fix it.”

“So, it’s just working again?”

“I’ll have to check, but I’m sure."

“I’ll be damned. Maybe tomorrow is a new day.”

"Keep the change."
