I walk on the stage of this famous place

And I'm overwhelmed by the darkened space

Empty walls surround a once only door

One fold out chair centers the floor.

"This used to be something this area treasured

A way our summer's were always measured."

Dead words from the new owner to be

Trying to sell the space to me.

300 acres sit here to rot and waste

Where thousands came for just a taste.

Just to see their idols for a night

I bet those days were a proper sight.

Now in the arena, shadows are cast

Hiding memories of concerts passed.

Dust is falling from curtains last call

As that summer made way to fall.

"They sold it all to me, I got the rights.

I could do anything even sponsored fights."

The boasts of a man with a blackened soul

As weeds grow up on redneck's knoll.

"It could all be yours for 1.5 mil

Here's where you sign to close the deal."

In this building where dreams were granted

I can't help but think it's enchanted.

"Deal or not I'm selling the place

Gotta make way son pick up the pace."

Nothing but weeds grow up in these fields

Crops would be trash after it yields.

"Last call to buy a piece of art

Some people say this was the start

Of that one fella Neil McCoy

Last call before it's destroyed."

It's time to start over, but I won't do it here

I want a place that smells less like fear.

Give me a spot where cattle can graze

Ill buy that for the rest of my days.
