Khana; The Legend of Bangladesh

Khana is a fabulous name. There are colorful stories about him. Not important information is known about its origin, but it's believed to have appeared between 800 and 1200 announcement. According to legend, he lived in Deoli vill of Barasat in the Twenty Four Parganas quarter of West Bengal. It's heard that his father's name was Anacharya. At that time, Khana lived in Chandrapur, the vihara of Chandraketu Raja. Being born on an auspicious occasion, he was named Kshana or Khana. It's said that her real name is Lilavati and her prognostications are popularly known as Khanar Bachan.

Meaning of Khanar bachan:

Khanar bachan is a special meaningful sentence or saying. English saying, proverb or Bengali proverb is almost synonymous, but the meaning of the word is more extensive and different. Dak and Khana sayings in Bengali are excellent examples of speech. Vachan is a popular branch of folklore. It has a unique nature, poetry and lyricism. Dak and Khana bachans sometimes have slang, which is not often observed in other branches of folklore. It is difficult to ascertain the actual number of mails and mines. Many verbs have disappeared because they are oral and memory-dependent. It is assumed that the Khana vachana was composed during the last period of the Charyapas. The author's name is found in the Bhanita of Dak and Khanar bachan. In other respects, Dak and Khanar's words are similar.

Dak's words are composed in roughly the same rhythm, but Khan's words have rhythmic variations. Both the verbs have the same endings of the two syllables and sometimes the words are distorted to match. There is a proverbial proverb; However, the number of two to four syllable words is more. Some of Khan's verses are quite long, like lyrical poems. The number of words with one syllable and two syllables is more in Bengali Dak words. Some of Ek Charan's sayings have also found their place in proverbs.

Khanar Bachan is also well known in Assam, but there is no collection of Khanar Bachan in Assamese language like Oriya language. Assamese words have included many words. Their words and subject matter are similar to Bengali Khanar words, but the word form is ancient. Oriya Khan's words are still sung with musical accompaniment; Long ago there were songs in Bangladesh too. At one time there was a belief that chanting rain verses during absence of rain would bring rain. Khanar words in Oriya language are called 'Khanabchan' and their number is not less than Bengali words.

More than twelve anthologies of Khanar vachanas with discussions have been published from the late 19th century to the third decade of the 20th century. Among them, P. M. Bhattacharya's large-scale works are prominent. During this period, two collections titled Dakkar Katha and Dakpurusha Katha were published. Every issue of at least ten excellent periodicals published in the name of Krishi, Krishiattva, Krishak, etc., has quoted countless words. Although modern civilization has influenced it. The form of Lokayat Bengal has been revealed in Dak Katha and Khanar Bachan. The proof that Khanar Bachan is also an excellent poem can be found in the examples cited:

Shyamangi Sukeshi Tanu Lomraji Kanta.
