Once upon a time, there lived a king named Kertamarta. He leads a magnificent kingdom, that kingdom is the kingdom of Daha. King Kertamarta had two beautiful daughters, named Dewi Galuh and Candra Kirana. Their life is very happy and sufficient.

One day, there came a handsome prince from the Kahuripan kingdom named Raden Inu Kertapati. Raden Inu's arrival to the Daha kingdom was to propose to one of the King's daughters, Candra Kirana. King Kertamarta welcomed the arrival and intentions of the Prince. Princess Candra Kirana also accepted Prince Raden Inu Kertapati's proposal. However, because of the engagement, Dewi Galuh felt very jealous. She also had a heart for Raden Inu Kertapati and felt that she was more suitable to be his fiancé. Jealousy then developed into hatred. Dewi Galuh started planning to get rid of Candra Kirana from the kingdom.

One day, Princess Dewi Galuh secretly went to meet an evil witch. He asked for help from the Witch to bewitch Candra Kiran into something disgusting and Prince Raden Inu kept away from him. He also hopes to replace Candra Kirana as his fiancé. The witch agreed to Dewi Galuh's request. However, the Witch cannot enter the palace because it will raise suspicion. Finally, Dewi Galuh had a trick to slander Candra Kirana, so she was expelled from the kingdom. Candra Kirana left the kingdom feeling sad. On the way, he met an evil witch and bewitched Candra Kirana to become the Golden Snail. After successfully bewitching Candra Kirana, the witch immediately throws her into the river.

"Your curse will disappear if you can meet your fiancé, Prince Raden Inu." said the Witch.

One day, a grandmother named Mbok Rondo from Dadapan Village was looking for fish using nets. Unintentionally, the Keong Mas got caught in the nets. Seeing how beautiful the golden snail he got, Mbok Rondo immediately brought it home and kept the golden snail in a crock. Mbok Rondo takes good care of the golden snail and feeds it so that the golden snail doesn't die.

The next day, Mbok Rondo returned to the river to look for fish. However, none of that he got. Because it had been taking too long without getting results, Mbok Rondo decided to go home immediately. When Mbok Rondo got home, he was very surprised. He saw very delicious food already available on the table. Mbok Rondo was very surprised and wondered who had made this food.

Every day similar incidents keep happening. Feeling curious, Mbok Rondo decided to pretend to go to sea. However, Mbok Rondo hid behind his house. He wanted to know who made the food every day and started peeking into the house. Mbok Rondo was very surprised. He saw the golden snail that he kept in a crock turned into a beautiful girl. The beautiful girl immediately prepared food on the table. Because of his curiosity, Mbok Rondo immediately approached the beautiful girl.

“Who are you, beautiful Princess? And where are you from?” asked Mbok Rondo.

The golden snail, which turned into its original form, Candra Kirana, was very surprised to see the sudden arrival of the grandmother. Finally, Candra Kirana explained who she was and explained why she could turn into a golden snail. After explaining to Mbok Rondo, Candra Kirana again changed her form to a golden snail.

Raden Inu and his followers

Meanwhile, Prince Raden Inu Kertapati continued to look for Princess Candra Kirana who suddenly disappeared somewhere. However, he could not get any news from Candra Kirana. Even so, Raden Inu was very sure that Candra Kirana was still alive. Because of that belief, Raden Inu did not stop looking. He also promised not to return to the kingdom before finding his fiancé, Princess Candra Kirana. The evil witch, who knew that Prince Raden was looking for Candra Kirana, looked for ways so that the Prince could not find Candra Kirana. He also disguised himself as a crow.

On the way, Raden Inu was surprised by a talking crow. The crow said that he knew where the person Raden Inu was looking for was. Raden Inu, who was happy and thought that the bird knew where Candra Kirana was, followed the instructions given by the crow. Without Raden Inu knowing it, the crow misled Raden Inu and showed him the wrong path. Raden Inu started to get confused with the instructions given by the crow, but he still followed the crow.

On the way, he met an old man who was starving. He immediately gave him food. It turned out that the grandfather was powerful and helped Raden Inu from the crows. Grandfather hit the crow with his stick and suddenly the crow turned into smoke. The grandfather gave directions to Raden Inu. Prince Raden Inu Kertapati immediately headed for Dadapan Village.

For days, Raden Inu traveled a very long way. However, in the middle of the journey supplies run out. Raden Inu felt very thirsty. He also saw a house and immediately headed to the house and intended to ask for a glass of water. However, it wasn't just water that he got, but also found Princess Candra Kirana whom he had been looking for all this time. He saw his fiancé from the window cooking.

Immediately Raden Inu approached Candra Kirana and held her hand. He was very happy to be reunited with his fiancé. Candra Kirana was also very happy to meet Raden Inu and succeeded in removing his curse. Candra Kirana returned to being a beautiful girl.

Raden Inu Kertapati immediately brought Candra Kirana back to the Daha kingdom. They also invited Mbok Rondo who had helped them. On the way, Candra Kirana explained all these events to Raden Inu. The angry Raden Inu wanted to severely punish Dewi Galuh. However, Candra Kirana calmed Raden Inu. Finally, they met with King Kertamarta and explained Dewi Galuh's actions so far to the King's Majesty. Finally, the crime of Dewi Galuh was uncovered. Dewi Galuh was punished for her actions. However, because of fear of punishment. he fled to the forest.
