Signals raced like ants on a starless night, looking, searching, fighting their way through a maze full of communication. Random routes driven by infinitesimal conductors controlling the chaos. A hand patted the wall, the thought in the dark complete. Touching the wall’s rough surface, searching for that smooth area. Lifting the protrusion on that smooth surface; a switch flipped. Light chasing the darkness away.
