Jessica’s Story

A 21 year old, career focused girl, who was very excited about her bright future, supportive & loveable future partner, career & many more, lived with a family members of five. Her dad & mom & three sisters including her. She had a very wonderful childhood.

One day her relatives phoned Jessica’s mom. They said they have something to discuss so they inform that they are coming to Jessica’s home. They came to Jessica’s home to meet her parents to ask a Jessica’s hand for one boy. They want Jessica to get marry with one boy. The parents were abit unhappy with this marriage proposal because they thought their daughter is just 21, who is focusing on her studies & career.

They denied to the relatives saying that it is not the right age for her to get married. Later, we will think about her marriage. Sorry for now! They said.

The relatives tried to convinced but the parents said NO. Even Jessica said NO to marriage. Relatives went to their home.

Next day, Jessica’s mom received a call from the same relatives. He tried to convinced alot. A man (Relatives) say to mom that, he wants to talk with Jessica. It was not a first time of their calls. They call many more times. Jessica used to tell her mom that, please don’t pass the phone to me. Tell the relative that I am not at home. That day, mom gave phone to Jessica.

They tried to convince Jessica. She still say No for marriage.

Other day, the relatives again came to Jessica’s place and finally convinced Jessica & her family to move forward to talk about marriage & meet the boy & his family for Jessica’s marriage.

They met a boy’s family and finally fixed the marriage. Jessica started to dream about her marriage life, her husband being together & supporting eachother in every steps of their life.

They next morning of the marriage, Jessica was upset because her husband didnot even communicate with Jessica on the very first night of their marriage. Jessica try to take it lightly, thinking that maybe he is shy to talk as we are stranger to each other and had not met before. Day by day the story begins the same…. He never treated Jessica like her wife.

After the first week of their marriage, he sleep in a separate bed in a same room. Jessica was really hurt because of his behaviours. Jessica used to call him in the day time when he is at office. But he shouted on her and hang the call. Jessica had noone except her mother in law at home. She started torturing & complaining Jessica about the dowry that Jessica’s parents gave her on their marriage. She was a young innocent girl who cannot even share that her husband is treating her that way. She stay quiet thinking that he will talk to her nicely next day but it never happened. She was all alone crying all day and night and working at their home, making food for them, washing their clothes, cleaning and other household tasks.

Jessica was already in love with her husband on the first day of her marrige. She loved him unconditionally that she don’t want to stay far from him. Jessica was in love with every single thing of her husband. For example: while ironing her husband’s office dress, preparing breakfast & taking to his bed, preparing meal to him, she felt in love with all the task that she did for her husband.

On the 22nd day of marriage, Jessica decided to ask him why is he treating her like that. Ignorance hurt the most in human life & he did ignore Jessica in such a way that he don’t even care whether she exists at his home/room or not. Jessica cried whole night and finally make him speak to her that why he behave her like that.

He speak; Do you want to listen why am I behaving you this way? Okay, Listen…. It is not your fault & I believe it is not my fault too…. I was never agreed to get married with you, I never liked you, I never even looked at you in a proper way which I even don’t care. Jessica cried alot. She was tottally broken. He speak; It was never my decision to get married with you, I married you for my mom sake. And now, don’t expect me to talk to you, sleeping with you, having kids and all. Better you stay like this if you can tolerate, if not, you can give a divorce. Jessica still have a hope to make him back. She asked him; You are not a kid anymore, you are 9years older than me. How come you did not say this to me before our marriage? If you had told me that you didnot want to get marry. I would have told No from my side too. Again He replied; My mom said she will kill herself if I deny for this marriage & I can’t see my mom killing herself. So I said Yes. Now don’t disturb me on my life he said.

Next day, Jessica tell her mother in law whatever he mentioned last night. She once shouted to his son saying that don’t behave like this. After that, she start blaming Jessica, it is all you fate. So have patience and stay quiet and sleep by yourself. Don’t disturb my son when he is at home as he become tired coming from him office. Let him have a soumd sleep because of you, I can hear argument all the time she said. Jessica loved him alot that she did not even want to share about her husband’s behaviour to her family. She’s fully broken. She tried to impress him but nothing goes right. He don’t even care. He used to communicate to his pets at home but not with Jessica.

Jessica then decided to talk with his husband’s close relatives getting her mom in laws permission. Mother in law says, if you want to try telling them, you can but I know my son won’t listen to anyone. Even though Jessica thought to share about all those things to the one who were close to them. They were so shocked and upset for Jessica for having such a painful days from her first day of marriage.

His cousin’s family members tried alot for 3-4 months doing meetings with him, convincing him alot. But nothing goes right. His response was like; I told everyone that I don’t want to get marry but now don’t force me for amything. She can leave me & I don’t have any feelings for her.

They also now stopped. Because they tried alot. One day they decided to tell Jessica’s parents. But Jessica beg them not to tell her parents because she don’t want to leave her husband as well as she don’t want to give pain to her family. She instead beg to try to make her and husband’s relation good.

Jessica and all her husband’s family members were having a meeting again to convince him to start a new beginning & a new life. Jessica even ask her husband that she is still ready to wait him if he needs some time, one year, two year, three years or more. But he replied; He will not have any feeling for Jessica until his last breath & he don’t even care if Jessica dies. From that day, Jessica had no hope. Jessica shared her story to her family. Jessica’s mom got a symptoms of depression & started using a medicine since the time she heard that news. Still, Jessica & her family try for nearly one year but nothing came out to be a good result.

Jessica finally decided with all her broken heart to case a file to the court & divorce him.
